This video was really helpful, I knew the 50W bulbs were worth it. I went with 4300K as it’s closer to pure white. 6000K is closer to blue which is why you get the bluish light (which I personally didn’t like), and ~5000K is the sweet spot for maximum brightness. 4300K also fares much better in rain too. I see a lot of people saying leds are useless for reflector housings, but it all depends on which bulb you had previously as the housing is engineered for that specific bulb. This osram led is a 1:1 match for the filament position of my old bulb and the most important part is to mount the led with the chips facing SIDEWAYS. I can’t stress this enough, a lot of local shops aren’t aware of, or gloss over this but it is the cause of dark spots or uneven throw which is dangerous to both you and other drivers. I made sure to be present the whole time the shop mounted the led and oversee the installation, as we needed to drop the bumper to remove headlight housings. Make sure you’re present so everything is done right the first time itself. I bought 4 bulbs for both projector low beams and reflector high beams. I never use high beams in the city, and now I frankly don’t need to. The low beams are more than enough for city driving, my stock halogens struggled to light up the road with oncoming traffic. I do a lot of highway driving and the high beams are perfect for that. On long stretches of empty dark roads they light up the road completely and gives a lot of confidence. It was an expensive upgrade, but a much needed one. P.S: I bought the bulbs for 6K a pair from planet car care, ended up saving over 4K compared to amazon.

@@shanedude120 Having the led chips facing left and right with matching filament distance is required regardless of what bulb it is. In your case, you need to use a H4 type bulb. The high beam can be either on the top or bottom, and there’s a shield which also needs to be in the right position(top or bottom), so best to verify how your original bulb was installed before replacing it.

Based on lumen test machine, 25W (you mentioned) is about 2700Lumens/bulb in beginning, about 2000Lumens in stable after 10 minutes. 50W (you mentioned) is about 4300Lumens in beginning, about 3200~3300Lumens. For reference.

From your side by side photos, I find that, 25W makes objects more visible, even though 50W looks brighter. In 50 W, objects like the tree leaves outside the beam focus region appear totally dark, while they are better visible in 25W.

Thanks for this amazing review. I was already using osram 25w for low beam in my jetta but I ordered 50w after watching your video but the difference is not huge. The brightness of the 50w almost drops to what it is available with 25w due to more heat produced. What is your view on my experience?

One major flaw in the videonis reading, led heat in 5-10min so the reading should be taken after that much time not at the beginning. Initial reading is of no use as the bulb will never show that brightness. When u r making a review video then please be truthful to yourself and show us the true results. After 10min 50 w mught be just 6000lux, but 25w might be 4500lux because cooling fan is very small. Secondly, if the unit had halogen bulb then don't replace with led bulb as housing will not reflect it properly.

This is the same doubt I have especially for H7 it's reflector we need to put the dust cap otherwise dust will go inside and spoil the reflector.. for halogen bulb it's ok but when we use LED and put the dust cap where will the LED fan air go.

I installed it in my nexon. Osram 50 wat. During installing it myself at last was confused with wiring socket, It was red and black in nexon wiring and Osram pin came with + and - pin signs. I had aftermarket fog lamp in my nexon which are offered by tata as an accessories and they have inbuilt LED. Yes, you can install 25w led in your fog lamp but 25w led comes only in 6000k hence it will defeat the purpose of Fog lamps.

The traditional and properly functional fog lamps are pure yellow. The built in halogen fog lamps in the Nexon are not pure yellow and are not at all useful in fog in my experience. No. Look wise and function wise H19 and H4 are same but H19 base is bit different to eliminate wrong fitting of bulb.

@@kpatil82 50W comes in warm white which is almost yellow. 25w only comes in white which is noticeable and cops might stop you for after market bulbs installation.

just saw this early morning. This looks exactly like Auxito - y13 led bulbs. After the observation, it produce 27W per bulbs. 2700/2800 lumens per bulb. And it’s 6500k. Very strange. I prefer Auxito for better price. And perform better. And the other one is also exactly the same as Auxito - Y19. So what Osram use same led bulbs from Auxito?🤣🤣🤣 this is very odd. Auxito and Osram sharing two same led bulbs. Very interesting.

I would not suggest them. IMO, it's better to have normal bulb than any fancy ones. Halogen bulb that the car came with lasted almost 2.5 years+ got night breaker laser, was better in terms of throw and a bit more bright but failed exactly after a year. Got Philips dimond vison, failed after a year. Now going with 25w led, from people who have used it, it will also fail exactly within 1 year.

25W is enough for city and town use. There is no need of 50W, which is of no use and end up paying 2 times. We are not using these lights to take a photo of someone or place. Its for visibility of the street while driving and 25W completely serves its purpose.

If it's a projector type you need an HB3 bulb, and it will fit easily. If you have reflector type you need H4.
