In today's video, we dive into a video that's been a few months in the making, part 2 of the interior restoration! This time, I gut most of the interior, lay down sound deadening, install new carpet and more! This made a huge impact. Not only is the cabin far quieter than it used to be, but it also feels more solid. I'm trying to make this car better every chance I get. It's really coming along nicely! Don't forget to catch up on some of the previous updates if you haven't already, enjoy!

quarawlis stafford How is the extra weight beneficial? I am curious, please explain. I've always thought that less weight means better handling, better acceleration and better fuel economy. Now you're saying that in this case, extra weight is good and now I am confused as hell. (JOKE, don't get offended: I've heard americans love horrible gas mileage, but still.)

300zx brake calipers would be a better choice in my opinion. Only because it’s another Nissan part that would be OEM- like. By the way I love how this build is turning out to be, very OEM, RB25DET Nissan engine. As if Nissan had put the RB25DET in it originally.👍🏼👍🏼

He does have a before video with no interior, it is super load. And he will probably drive around later with camera in the car, you will hear a huge difference. Our typical customer removes between 7 and 15 Db of unwanted noise when sound deadening properly with the multiple layers. When using all products inside and under, you can get even better results which bring up words like tomb, vault like silence. #SecondSkinForTheWin

Hyperbole is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech. In rhetoric, it is also sometimes known as auxesis (lit. "growth"). In poetry and oratory, it emphasizes, evokes strong feelings, and creates strong impressions. As a figure of speech, it is usually not meant to be taken literally. ~ Wikipedia

I was raised around air-cooled volkswagens and because of that I'm kind of a 240 purist so when I see people gutting their car's interior and cutting into the body for overfenders it always breaks my heart. Makes me happy to see there's people out there who love 240s and want to keep theirs close to original, while still adding their own personal flare. Keep it up bro!

303 Fabric Guard is hands down definitively the BEST water repellent for fabric soft tops. If you buy an old convertible it'll stiffen the fabric up again and UV protect it as well as make the water bead up (almost) as good as new. It's also priced great, like $80 for a gallon or something which is enough to do your car 3 times a year for two years or so.

I've watched for a few years now and I definitely appreciate the (hopefully it's okay to say this ;) MotorWeek-esque reviews you do. They're unique among the auto channels I follow. They're typically more informational and in-depth. As much as I appreciate and enjoy the effort you put into those videos, it's actually your personal car stories that are always my favorites. This 240 project has been awesome so far. The Saab project was really great and the video you did installing the Borla exhaust on your grand dad's Merc was really good, too. Anyhow, I hope things go well for you as you begin building your house. Peace!

Nice job. Good to see more of an OEM+ interior for a change. I would move the amp to be on the back of the back seats just above the sub. You'll only see it when you can see the sub and it doesn't take much usable room since it would be in a row with the sub and roughly the same size.

That's the first rule of going to the junkyard... immediately salvage for every type of clip and fastener you can find lol. I'm pretty lucky in that I can get most of the OEM clips and unusual plastic pieces still... but they're stupid expensive. I did my alternator for example and the bolt holding the mounting bracket to the block is fairly unique, buying it from the manufacturer was $10 for ONE bolt. Way better to find a good quality one that's not messed up in the junkyard, usually if you show them a handful of those fasteners they'll just charge you like $5 for all of it or whatever.
