Sachin was indeed a legend. What really sets the great players apart from the multitude of very good players is the skill to perceive what the match situation and the conditions require of you and adapt accordingly. Sachin scores runs everywhere in the world, against the best opponents of his era and across all formats. What’s more he kept doing it for about 20 years. Cover drive is a kind of shot which is played in Cricket.. Sachin was getting out playing that shot in the 2 previous tests.. So, he had decided to not play that shot at all and score 241 runs without playing his favourite shot.. It takes a lot of discpline to ristrict oneself to not play that shot if the ball pitches in certain area..

I feel lucky as I have enjoyed the Golden era of Cricket which was from 1996- 97 to 2010. During this period almost all team have their best players. Australia: Hayden, Gilchrist, Pointing, Steve Waugh, Mark Waugh, Warne, McGrath, Lee, Symonds, Langer, Bevan & many more. India: Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly, Kumble, Nehra, Zaheer, Yuvraj, Kaif, Raina, Dhoni etc. NZ, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe even Kenya has some of the great players. Those days are over now.

*Cover drive is best played by Sachin Tendulkar it's not easy shot you need to be very good because by default every human being play ball towards mid wicket. Playing in off side is going against natural tendency. It's again tough bcoz when bowlers bowl swing n seam playing off-side is very risky. He was consistently getting out playing that shot so he decided not to play his most common shot and it shot India to mammoth total 700 runs at this total a team can't lose. This the difference between Normal players and great players. He scored double hundred without getting against best attack that too at their home*

It's easy just play the balls that u can play and leave the one's that u can't play.... Today's teams don't bat for more than an a day 25 years back people used bat for 2-3 days..... Cover drive is the shot he is shown getting caught behind, playing, at the start of the video. Australians had got him out playing his favorite shot... A couple of times. So he decided not to play the shot and leave the ball in the entire match.

Get over India & Indian players past & present mates. There are other cricketing nations on the planet, not just India. Yes the BCCI practically own the ICC coz u know how a third world, developing nation who's one of the richest in the world would rather dominate world cricket then look after three quarters of their ppl living in poverty & slums aka garbo tips. If India tour a country on fast bouncy pitches, not like their sub continent roads of pitches they play on, "King Kohli" (who named himself that) goes whinging, bitching, yelling, demanding & crying saying if the pitches aren't anything like a Indian road then they're taking their bats & balls home & will refuse to play. It used to be called "home ground advantage" but now it's India's way or no way. The millions upon millions they spend on players in the IPL is disgusting when the majority of their public can't even afford to eat once a day. Even more, the ICC won't schedule international matches during the IPL, yeah a little domestic comp paid by billionaire's to watch men run around a field, class system at it's finest. Developing nation or third world country my arse, they're just over populated & coz hardly any of them get any sort of education unless ur rich, they haven't worked out why they're over populated. Arrogance at it's finest but the lowest of low India ever did was refuse to delay the 1st test against Australia at the Gabba after Phil Hughes devastating accident as in their words was, it is only a concussion, a head knock, no big deal. Only when Phil passed away the Indian team, management & BCCI agreed with CA to postpone the first test coz of Phil's death & funeral & only one Indian player bothered to turn up to his funeral while the rest of the Indian players stayed in Adelaide not wanting to make the trip to country NSW. I don't know why everyone loves these racist, narcissistic, big headed boys when they couldn't care less about u. Calling a dark skinned Aussie player, who was half Jamaican a monkey & their crowd making signs about how can a Kangaroo be a monkey while mimicking monkey noises & movements in the crowd in a ODI in India was pathetic at best. Even dark skinned & blacks can be racist & they're usually worse than white racists. I have no respect for India or their players & never will, they're extremely immature & pathetic but when there's no education system coz all their billions are spent on their cricketers so what do u expect? And that's why they're classed, along with China a developing third world country smh!
