There were times in India when empty streets meant Sachin was batting. People used to stop everything to watch him bat, and turned off the TV when he got out because the game was lost if Sachin wasn't there.

He is not just a batsman. He is a CRICKETER and a GENTLEMAN on and off the field.

Just to clarify...it's the T20 world cup being played in the US this year. The video refers to the original world cup based on the 50 over format.

I was a kid when Sachin used to play but remember people around me talk about him when he used to bat and remember some myself. He really felt like a god to me 😂 The belief people had in him was crazy. No matter what the situation was in the match, until Sachin was batting people had hope.

I am Indian, and I grew up playing and watching cricket along with people around my neighborhood. Sachin was in his prime around that time. Eventually, me and my brother became more and more interested in The Beautiful Game. We don't follow cricket as much nowadays, occasionally we play with our neighbors, no disrespect to Cricket, but Football is our favorite sport now.

Any average back in the days over 40 was considered very impressive, but because sachin was Indian and he was playing for yokshire ( English grounds are very different and you need to change your technique to adapt to it ), having an average of 47 is perfection, proof of his unimaginable talent and perfect technique.

At the age of 19, being the only overseas player playing for Yorkshire! A subcontinent batter averaging 46 playing county in England in those days, it is like putting a fish out of water, and yet it manages to not just survive but fly rather.

Anything over 45 is very good average for a batsman but it also depends on where you play. In England where it rains a lot, the ball moves in the air a lot more and is usually harder to bat in. Most of the current English batsmen playing for England are averaging around 35 at the moment

Averaging above 50 is great ...and maintaining that for years is epic

He's not GOAT of cricket. There are many like Brian Lara, Don Bradman or current GOAT Virat Kohli. Sachin Tendulkar is the "God" of cricket!

We used to get a mini heart attack whenever Sachin used to get out early. Many people always expected a century and most expected a half century from him, in every match he played. He was the most burdended of all cricketers, ever.

An average of more than 40 runs is very very good achievement. As the RED ball used in Test cricket, stays hard for longer time and Swings more than white ball. The red ball behaves different on different pitches (playing surfaces), and is more challenging too. Nicely done video. Thank you.
