I just got this thermal imaging camera. Mine is VER: V3. Manufacture date July 2024. The System Info shows Hardware Ver: 3.1, Software Ver: V2.2.2. The heat imaging display on mine is definitely not as pixelated as the one in this video, so I think they did improve on that. However, mine also does not take video. I don't think it is capable of video recording. While the manual does mention the option of viewing pictures and video, there is no instruction on how to take a video, nor are there any specs given as to video resolution or video format it supports. It does take pictures just fine. When you take a picture, it takes a normal picture and the heat signature picture at the same time. When viewing the pictures, you can alternate between viewing the heat signature and the normal picture just by pressing the trigger. I am disappointed that they got rid of their mouse mascot. He no longer appears on the display when you power it on and he's no longer printed on the back cover of the manual. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the camera itself, it will be very useful.

Thanks for sharing, sounds great they improved the picture! ..mine is 3 years old, and i have not used it much. about the video mode, you can always try to ask your seller, maybe there is a firmware fix.

@@TonyAlbus I contacted Noyafa directly and here is the response they gave me. "Sorry, we have confirmed with our product engineers that the current NF-521 has cancelled the video recording function due to technical problems. It currently only supports taking pictures and exporting them through TF cards. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you !"

It says in the "instruction manual" that comes with it, "When not using the device for a long time, please remove the battery inside the test terminal to prevent the battery liquid from leaking out." But then it give no instructions on how to remove the battery. Guess the makers didn't want to mention you have to tear the whole thing down.

I think it is a legal thing... it is not made to be remove. but when it explodes, you are warned :)

Thanks for this.Got this device and everything looks good, except how does one remove the battery (for long term storage) The manual doesn't show anything on this ! but I see small screws in the two adjacent holes on one side of the head and suspect that this is how to get at the battery? Appreciate it. Can't understand why this isn't shown on the drawings in the manual.
