For those who suggested a delivery person or courier, I also had a similar theory that I posted on Loy's Websleuths page. On March 14, 1978, a year after Loy went missing, Rosie Schlicker disappeared after leaving Truman Medical Center - (Hospital Hill location) in Kansas City about 4 miles from where Loy disappeared. Both women were in their 20's with blonde hair, about 5'5 and 120-ish lbs. with a similar resemblance, and both were never found. Coincidentally, Loy's purse was found under the bridge a 1.7 miles away from Truman Medical Center East in Lee's Summit (now renamed University Health Lakewood Medical Center.) If there really is a connection between the two cases, the abductor could have had an affiliation with TMC hospitals. Perhaps he was an employee or he delivered supplies or repaired equipment where he was familiar with both locations? He could have followed Rosie after she was discharged. Maybe a year earlier, he was on his own lunch break and randomly saw Loy that day and followed her as well? It would at least place him in that particular area of KC. It would also explain how he would know the remote area where TMC East was, not far from where Loy's purse was discarded. I think that whoever dumped Loy's purse out there, either knew the area or at the very least, knew that it was isolated. Not much was out there back then, aside from the hospital. Maybe the cases aren't related, but they are awfully similar. Thanks for the re/upload!

Really enjoy the long format you provide for these cases. You bring in a lot more detail and add depth and context. I don't know if it takes a lot more work, but it might be good to use the scubber bar feature to allow people to find the specific part of the video they need when re-watching - Background, Case Details, Theories, etc.

Couple of questions: were all her coworkers interviewed? To me I can easily imagine a coworker being infatuated and deciding to abduct and SA her. Also, was the delivery man interviewed? The van could be a red herring volunteered by someone who needs looking into. These seem pretty obvious to me, so I suspect the work has been done to rule them out.

Sounds like a private courier or delivery man waited for her. Be nice to know if deliveries or outgoing materials were logged during the day as well as who picked them up. Since her lunch was off kilter a little maybe an employee was asked” where’s Loy today”? It would be nice to know if any of these interactions were looked at. Thx Trace Evidence for giving Loy a voice. Sounds like hard work. ☮️

What type of law firm was she working for? If they handled criminal cases, somebody needed to do a deep dive on their clients, that may have been familiar with her.

The only things about this case I feel relatively sure of is that Loys remains are probably within 30 miles or so of where her purse was found and Henry Lee Lucas didn’t do it.
@stargalaxyuniverse7613 ай бұрын
I think her late lunch made it easier to abduct her. If she had gone to lunch at her “normal” time the parking garage may have been busier. And the absence of indicators are not indicators of absence. Just because there are no signs of struggle, doesn’t mean she didn’t. Just no blood or belongings were left at the scene.

Loy may not have even known someone was stalking her if that was the case. She may have just been the victim of a spontaneous crime...someone saw her and decided right then and there to do something. As to someone not seeing her, it happens...you only see what you take notice of. That plaza is very busy.

This one tests the old adage, "there's no such thing as a perfect crime." I have questions, though. What's with leaving no fingerprints? Was she like that at home? Did someone come behind her and tidy up? Were there fingerprints on the typewriter from the play-typing child? Did they check any papers she may have handled? (I.e., when were they wiped off?) What kind of law firm did she work for? Any suspicious clients? How many degrees of separation were investigated RE her work interactions. Could she have been abducted for info they could get from her RE her work? Her car and purse were left, but not her jewelry, presumably. Did they try to trace that? Diamond etching didn't start until the mid-80's, but a distinctive characteristic (Helzberg) was available. In fact, her bracelet was distinctive, too. My first thought was a parking garage lying in wait crime, but there is also the distance between her car and her office: elevators, stairwells. Yes, the car was left unlocked, but did she just forget? Did she pick up someone she knew along the way back to the office and it went bad? She sees a friend, says, "Oh, hey! Do you want a ride back to the office?" I'm sure they asked about suspicious vehicles (she was in a reserved spot, so there were "regular" parkers), but someone could have drugged her, stuffed her in a trunk, gone back to work for 2 more hours and then driven her away into the sunset. If she left on her own, she was really good about her prepwork. She has an extensive, verifiable background, but the word "spook" comes to mind, though not likely.

Let’s always blame the victim or their loved ones. Fact is she was Marcia Brady walking in a place that was security deficient. Most structures today are designed so you can see across the garage. It was a kidnapping of opportunity.. I feel bad for her husband; people are so mean. A jab of one needle is all it takes. That’s why you don’t want to be near anyone.

I think the bra and underwear might have been more relevant than her husband thought. She appeared to be very frugal as to the widow shopping but not just buying. As a wife, I'm just saying I relate. I have undergarments I don't think my husband is aware of and doesn't see me in. As for bras, working a long day a woman is going to be functional and comfortable. I have worn such to work and then changed at home for my husband. I don't mean it as a criticism to her husband, as it's obvious his real love for her, but I wish that one part wasn't ruled out so easily. I have undergarments that are not so pretty, but I still wear them when I can because I just don't throw things away for aesthetic reasons. She just sounds like the same kind of woman as I am. The errands she did on a late lunch break when buying nothing except something practical as an umbrella makes me think she's not the type of person to throw away comfortable undergarments and also practical enough to not wear uncomfortable pretty ones for a long day at work. Trust me, the pretty ones are like a whole day of absolute torture. Every month, there's a good chance there will be a stain that doesn't come out. You keep those for the next month. I don't know any woman who throws away otherwise new underwear for that reason. You just wear them during "that week.". My own hubby doesn't see them, and I have comfy bras and pretty ones ... And they are never both comfortable and attractive. Just my 2 cents... I mean no harm, but husbands should know we all have a secret underwear game you all might not even be aware of.

First thing that’s out of the ordinary is Loy leaving for lunch later than usual. Not a huge thing but you must keep it in mind. We know she left for lunch at around 2:10. Got back at least by 3:00 or earlier. Loy seemed to have done a lot of walking to many shops in 35 minutes or so taking into account her walking to her car and the drive back. Next, who on planet earth wipes down everything in and on her desk of prints before they go to lunch? Who does that at anytime ever? Also no prints in or on her car? So Loy had to have spent time wiping down her car before she got out. What about the items in her car? Same as the items in her desk? All wiped down? This to me is a huge red flag. The typewriter was wiped down. I’m assuming the ribbon was too. They did mention the young girl who was messing around on the typewriter. So her finger prints had to be on some of the keys. It may sound outlandish but that type of cleaning is not the actions of a neat freak. That’s imo someone who was leaving and didn’t want to leave behind anyway for someone to identify them. The van story at first makes sense but why speed away at such a speed as to bring attention to yourself and possibly wreck. Did this guy just sit in his van and wait for Loy to wipe down the inside of her car then wait till she wiped the door handles then grab her? Hell if that was me I probably would have passed on her after seeing what she was doing. This part if true goes completely against an abduction. I really have to wonder if she is or was alive. To anyone who may point out all the things she did before she went missing like deposit her check buy an umbrella, that’s exactly what you do if you are leaving. You do everything exactly the same. Maybe Loy took lunch later than normal so she could wipe her desk down. She obviously did wipe it down. I’d like to know if this was an everyday occurrence. I highly doubt it. Why wipe down your typewriter of all prints before you go to lunch? Maybe she knew she wouldn’t be coming back.
