This is totally great instruction, very detailed, clear and concise, no long boring explanation, also great putting the tab up is very helpful, l certainly understand now about finding the root note, play 3 notes, then 2 notes on the next string etc and also putting in licks etc to add spice- this is absolutely what l needed and l can apply this to other things I’ve learned.

This is an outstanding lesson. Love the balance between theory and practicality. As a pretty ordinary, largely self-taught player, I'm not looking for tricks or one-off short cuts, but something that helps me develop and this lesson is spot on. Thank you, Howard.

This is very good. I taught guitar over thirty years and this is very similar to what I taught my students. One difference, I always wanted my students to memorize every note on their necks. I also taught standard notation as well as tab. I feel knowing standard notation really opens up music in a way that tab doesn't.

A minor point, but I appreciate it that Howard uses equipment (Squire/Fender) in a price range I can afford. Some of these dudes--no names--have a different Gibson 335/Martin for every lesson and I wonder what my monthly sub is really buying--lessons or equipment. Great teacher.
