Watching 24CH makes me want Peter Budaj back in Montreal. He was very useful strategizing with the team against the other goalie, and I miss him.

+Hazel Leaf - Agreed. There was also such a good dynamic between him and Price, they pushed and supported each other very well which is very important in goaltending as so much of it is mental strength and ability to stay in the zone and focus on the right things. Buds seems to be the guy who's impacting the game even when he's not on the ice.

Nothing Here I totally agree with you. They had that kind of bond that I haven't exactly seen in a while. With Tokarski and Condon Price is mostly trying to help the two guys play better as goalies, it's a different relationship than with Buds. Price and Budaj strategized with each other, I just overall loved that kind of bond that they had with each other.

+Hazel Leaf I'm just re-watching this season and saw our conversation from two months ago. Tokarski is now in AHL with Ducks, of all places! I really do miss this guy as well, though he was more like a disciple to Price, I think it was another important step for Carey - he was growing through nurturing another goalie. Now, I worry what's gonna happen when Price is back - wonder how will he be in the net. He is hard working and talented but such a long break must have left its imprint on him, I hope he gets back on track with no issues and that whoever becomes his backup will be a good fit for him and the team. He was also named starter for the World Cup, with Holtby as backup - while I agree that Carey is better, I kinda feel like this time around Holtby should be named starting goalie, not because I prefer him, but he had a whole full season of playing so doesnt that make more sense? I just don't want everyone to have expectations of Carey that are too high after such a long break. I want people to give him time to fully recover. We shall see! I am anxious for his return!
