I've only watched 1 minute of the video and 1:10 is already my favourite part We all must admit turbo lag is pretty damn beautiful. It goes from quiet to roaring in 2.0 bar.

Best inboard vieuw i've seen so far. Best car ever produced, best racing track ever made, best car audio i've heard so far. Love how a Porsche dances on racing tracks, older ones more than modern ones. Mathai is a very brave and busy man behind the wheel!

all Nordschleife laptimes includes only the 20,8km "old" track. This version includes the Nürburgring GP-Track and is 25,3km long. If you try to compare with the Corvette lap, then you must start at 2:40 and end at 9:16 + few seconds

Porsche and Nurburgring (and on-board camera)... a very unique combination! Among other things, it can be seen both in general and especially on a circuit like the Nurburgring, the Porsche is very tiring to drive ... but the best is just that ... !!

An assuring rive by someone who really knows his car's handling habits inside-out. I appreciate how you up-shift early at certain places to make the car less nervous under power....a trick used in F1 up till the 70s before down-force reared it's ugly wings....

The 24h-classic is a part of the 24h-nurburgring race. But it is a 3h race for cars build until 1988. This is enough for those old cars, normally only ~50 to 60% of the cars will see the checkered flag.

This is an Historic race car and back in the day, Porsche didn't have a 5 speed gearbox that could take that kind of torque...

That third gear synchro sounds like it was worn enough that your dogs were touching the slider before everything was done meshing. My 3rd gear used to be like that too.. How did you get such smooth shifts down into first? Did you have the asymmetric dogs on first, or something else? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this an EFI car with a BOV?

so the 934.5 is a twin spooler right? depending on the boost setting i have read you can get 800hp out of the motor is that correct or am i confusing it with the 935?

,) @MsNerdinator - probably yes, although not so impossible thing -really. of course original cars are ridiculously expensive, but 930 with proper build could be doable with reasonable costs. there is one 934/5 replica built professionally in Finland - nice to see if it goes like this.

Hi! Congrats to the great car you own! Maybe you set your time on the Nordschleife, as opposed to the track configuration in the Video, which includes some GP-Track. BTW: My best lap on the Nordschleife was 8:45 in a factory standard 1998 Elise. 118bhp, 720kgs standard road tyres. Which means that in your car, with a lot of practice and if you really want to take the risk, you shold manage to do a lap in the low eights. Keep going, but safety fast, please :-)

His Nordschleife time is around 7:30, it's easy to calculate from the video (period from entering NS to entering GP circuit).
