How did you like the Azores compared Madeira? We spent last summer on Madeira, but have not been to Azores.

Each island has it's own character so we can't really compare them. Azores is cooler, rainier and more wet and therefore lusher green. We definitely want to get back to the Azores as it's a nature lovers paradise, but for living we prefer Madeira.

I pray one day I'll be able to do the Pico to Pico hike. Or just to be able to hike again. I've dealing with plantar fascitis since December and nothing seems to work. Hiking is the only thing that makes me feel truly alive and that hike in particular has been a dream of mine for a while now. I miss hiking so damn much 😭😭

Those beautiful flowers on the side of the road in the Azores, we use to have a lot of it in Madeira, mainly around Santo da Serra, Camacha, on the road from Monte up to Poiso, and some other places to, this days not as much. Sunrise, being above the clouds, surrounded by majestic mountains and vales, being with good friends and loved ones, for Me that's like being on Even down on Earth, magical.
