Will there be a clip of the s2000 powered s2000 trying to talk its way through tech? Please? Pretty please?

I wish you guys also ran races in Europe.... and if I'm wishing... would love to see a motorcycle class as well... Great video!

Europe, yes, would love it too ! Motorcycle, not so sure though since they were fast long before they handled / braked decently …

Second gen corvairs don't have swing axles any more...
@Thinginator27 күн бұрын
And after the first couple years they added limiting straps that prevented the swing axles from tucking under, so even the later swing axle Corvairs don't flip. And even the original cars without limiting straps weren't that bad as long as your tires were inflated properly, which most people didn't do. There's so much misinformation about Corvairs, it's frustrating. They're great, fun cars with a unique drivetrain, and did not deserve to be thrown under the bus for an issue that was already fixed well before Nader's book came out. Finally nowadays a lot more people are talking about Corvairs "unsafe" reputation being a myth, and people are realizing they're actually really fun, unique, affordable classics, yet somehow there are STILL people who talk crap about Corvairs as if they were deathtraps, when they weren't.

With cages failing tech. While the rules are on the web site, it would be really helpful to post pics and a description of the failed areas of actual cages. Maybe even pics of crashed cages that did their job.

I thought the 'How not to fail Tech' doc is pretty thorough in that regard.....
@bobroberts237126 күн бұрын
@@MrFFFTTTT There needs to be actual pictures of failures as this would drill down to WHY cars are failing tech. There also needs to be an allowance for alternate / safer designs like: 1) For unibody cars, welding a 2" X 3" square tube just inboard of and level with the top of the rocker with the 2 " side standing up. This runs the length of the rocker with the front and rear tubes of the cage landing on the 2" side. The ends of the square tube would be capped for strength. This arrangement spreads roll over loads through the entire rocker AND offers better side protection. 2) For cars with a perimeter frame ( Like Crown Vic / Caprice ) running the front and rear down tubes through the frame and welded top and bottom as long as the center section of the frame is boxed.
