@@24juan68 I wish I could but I can not by law. You are an involved party so you can do an open records request through the agency. Has to be invoked party or lawyer representing an involved party

Hi Big John . The inspector chap was a nice guy. Remember the Lord will never forsake you. Our day goes according to our level of heart prayer to Him in a day. Look at believers in many countries who face death and persecution…N Korea Nigeria Pakistan Iran Saudi Arabia…. John the world is getting darker spiritually. In America the other day there was Satancon ..a gathering of satanists… Keep a trucking and remember many people could never do your occupation and at your level of ability.

The worst thing is for the DOT/STATE TROOPERS to catch poorly pre-tripped equipment. Trying to joke with them makes you look even worse, they only think you’re trying to distract them. They don’t care how funny you think you are, keep your mouth shut, whatever you say they’ve already heard it 10000.00 times, all they want to see is a Serious Professional Truck Driver that knows what he’s doing and not going to run over and kill him or his wife and children on the road…

Hi John it's 4:49am been up since 4am busy day,51 degrees cloudy. Oh Boy DOT inspection, I remember those, always wondered what it would be like if 4 wheelers had to go through a inspection.😋Ya got lucky the inspector was a very nice guy, happy trails John.😊

The driver is always responsible for everything on the truck and trailer, period end of story......But the driver can Always shut down the truck if he or she thinks it would be dangerous to continue and the owners can't do or say a thing except fire the driver.

The ELD thing is interesting, if I remember right in the UK they just take your digital tacho card from the truck and download it. No way it can be edited by the company then. If you don't get told off for driver's hours, I think it's safe to say the US isn't very strict.👍

And people like you want to make his job even difficult. Why? What do you accomplish by behaving the way you suggest? The answer is *absolutely nothing.* No thanks. I will continue to do what I always do…thank the officer for his service to the community. And I’ll be happily on my way while you are still stuck in the inspection station as the officer goes over you and your vehicle with a *very* fine-toothed comb.

Just another reason i quit trucking back in 2008 and haven't looked back. You really have to be a masochist today to put up with all the BS the DOT companies and shippers expect you to put up with. Screw them.
