How often during this generation, we have lost touch personally with community, relatives, elders and friends through use of whattsup and other social media. And reaching out to those in need. In this Benidictus prayer, following verse struck me, taken from Luke 1:74 ( NABRE) "Rescued from the hand of enemies, without fear we might worship him "

Dear Fr Warner, David wanted to build God a temple for all the blessings he had received. However God's plan for us is more than we can ever imagine. He promises David a permanent lineage & from this house came our Saviour. God has always been with us in our journey through life protecting us like a father. In Luke when John the Baptist is born, Zechariah recites the Benedictus or the Father's prayer which portrays themes of hope & salvation. At Christmas Jesus comes like the morning star lighting the darkness of our lives with His light. May you be specially blest for the compassion in your heart for the sick, suffering & elderly.
