Aly He said nothing about materialism, he’s saying that it’s mediocre (especially for an American), to JUST strive to have gas in their car. In the Land of Opportunity, that’s highly mediocre and sad. There’s so much more people can achieve in a country like this.
@aloroha4 жыл бұрын
Morgan J Well, the original commenter obviously doesn't want to JUST have gas in their car. It was a joke or they just meant they prefer to live simply. Which there is nothing wrong with. You can want to achieve more and more but some people are perfectly happy with a simple life and don't want anything extra. You can't tell somebody that what they want out of life is sad and mediocre if they are happy and it's exactly what they want. Lol. Maybe it's sad in YOUR perspective but overall in reality it isn't

We shot a TV show here a couple of years back. A lot of the house is amazing. The wood beams in the room with the pool table are truly insane. Also, the master bathroom has a gold urinal. The dressing room with all the locker type storage looks like it belongs in a Country Club. That being said, a lot of it is built like a movie set. The basement in particular. All the columns and ceilings look great on camera, but are fragile, hollow plaster, with mediocre faux finishes. The whole property is VERY hilly... resulting in insane roller coaster-esque grades on trails and driveways. I don’t even understand how some of them were paved. Theres a reason why this place cost like 35m to build, and why the property was even available to build this monstrosity on to begin with. TP took a bath when he sold it, too. I forget what they told us the place ended up selling for, but it was like 1/3 of the asking price. A Minister of some sort owns it now.

So even if you won 200 million in the lottery, yes you could pay cash for the house, but the landscaping alone would eat into that in no time.
