Aacro is an awesomely written character. He's a real human being who feels real guilt about the things he's done, starting with how he caused what happened to Matthaises mother, but he's also fundamentally selfish, remarking how he finally had Ashra because of his mistake. Finally, after Ashra left him, he went off the deep end. But he never lost the guilt. He figured since he was already sinful, that he might as well tally up his sins until his last moments, where he would finally get his revenge, while giving himself the fate he thought he deserved at the same time. It's a villain who ackowledges their villainy, and doesn't try to justify it, but instead giving into his selfish desires. And what's amazing about his arc is that he completely, truly loses in the end, not getting the death he desired for himself and Ashra, and never getting Ashra as a bride as she takes Matthias. That's some impeccable writing right there.

I love how complex the relationship is between Ashra, Aacro and Matthias. Too many things happened to the three of them, but these moments when Matthias still believes in Aacro

I always wondered why the song starts so cheerfully despite Matty being like "acting like I don't wanna die" like sir 🫢

At this point I’ll just admit that I’m obesessed with Revel’s performance.
