I am now emotionally invested in the black refractor set!! I took your advise and did my first SGC modern order, since I have only used them for vintage cards. Small order, but was happy with the results. I wish I could quit my job and sell cards & smoke cigars all day! The dream! Thanks so much for all the hard work and tips. Appreciate you!!

I feel the same way haha! What a run LV is on. Glad you had good results with SGC. I'm literally trying to be a full time card seller myself but I'll need to supplement until I figure it out. We can dream! Great comment!

@@blixcards we can dream. Until then, I’ll just keep getting skunked in group breaks and buying low end parallels to grade n flip to make a few extra bucks to do it all over again!! 🤘🤘

@@505memorabilia If you are having fun and staying in the green, keep it up! Gotta start somewhere, maybe your profits add up and you can get going part time. Part time leads to full time, potentially. You'll get there if you put in the work. Watching LV obviously helps!

I’m happy you tried SGC for modern and did well👌 I like the small order approach with them. I send them 10-15 cards at a time. I wish you cards&cigars all day too! 🤙

I am similar to you...I bought millions of cards in various collections back in 2017 to 2019, so I have a house full of cards, and I occasionally go thru some boxes and pull out more stuff to be graded...Diamond Kings from the early 90's, a small stack of Kawhi or Klay rookies, etc...however, I haven't bought raw cards of Ebay in many many years, so we differ in that fashion...raw to grade definitely the way to go though
@littlevictoriessportscards1978 ай бұрын
Definitely 👍 Isn’t it fun going through the boxes you haven’t seen in years? Love finding cool stuff to grade. I’m in the process of going through tons of boxes and hoping to grade 500-1000 cards 🤞Thanks for the comment!

Another solid reveal! For cracking out, just take your own advice and freeze them up a bit. Very easy to crack out that way.
@littlevictoriessportscards1978 ай бұрын
Exactly! Freezing will be the way to go 👌 Although, I already cracked out the Pujols auto and it was even easier than before because they now put the thicker cards in this thick case around the card within the slab. It’s like it’s protected from cracking out issues 🤣

Great info on the first part of the video! I appreciate all of the info you've given out through your videos. I've been working hard to build out an ebay store and I dream of working full-time in the card hobby. Your words are definitely good motivation. :) That Mashburn gold is sweet, too!

I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps - if my funds don't run out first! I am blessed to already have plenty of inventory though so that helps. You are a testament to the card business dream, and it's inspiring. Thank you! I'll keep my eyes peeled for the Dirk, Black and Gold Refractors when I start getting out to shows again. Those 2002-04 Fleer sets always had cards with slightly rounded corners straight out of the pack. 2004 Hot Prospects was next level, every base auto had those corners. But that's how they were made. Doesn't look like the PSA grader was aware that's how the thicker cards in Skybox LE were straight from the factory. What a haul though! Love the refractor set adds and the Pujols auto especially. Great grades! Thanks again LV!
@littlevictoriessportscards1978 ай бұрын
That was exactly my thinking on the Pujols. I already cracked it out and already in the mail to Boca 👌 It looked great. I’m impressed by your extensive knowledge of cards…seems like you have what it takes. Thanks for what you said in your comment…much appreciated 🤙

great video! I also benefited from an overgrade recently. Cracked a steve smith bowman chrome refractor from a sgc 9.5 and it got a psa 10even with a. bunch of tiny microscratches. The Bryce Young prizmatice blue ice that I mentioned in a comment a few months ago also got a 10, even with minor swirls from the cotton pad having a seed in it
@littlevictoriessportscards1978 ай бұрын

@@littlevictoriessportscards197 at least! I've had 4 cards come back an 8 or 9 that were perfect that got a 10 the 2nd try. I've also had cards that were a definite 8 or 9 get a 10. The worst is when cards that were already a slim margin as a 10 come back anything else. Not worth cracking to resub at that point

Thanks for liking my content! 🙌 Those Jordan Cleo valentines are cool. I’ve graded some over the years, but always just the smaller ones. I’ve never graded the taller bigger ones because the cost to grade Jumbo cards is way more :( My advice is to just grade the smaller ones, you can submit those the normal way 👌
