Sir, can you teach how to do impedance matching using this nanoVNA? How to choose components to match the impedance?
@NizarMohideen3 жыл бұрын
Even though there are many characteristic impedance, practical usage there are two common values 50 ohm and 75 ohm. 75 ohm mainly used for television antennas and 50 ohm for telecommunication transmissions. Just focusing on 50 ohm, the antenna impedance from zero to infinite depending on frequency. To transmit and receive maximum power (for longer distance or clear data) the antenna must match as close as to pure resistive 50 ohm. There is a smith-chart in Nano-VNA, you can plot and view it. The centre point is the sweet-spot of 50 ohm. Whenever you design an antenna make sure to have 50 ohm or closer to it at the desired frequency. Normally, it can be achieved by changing the length of the antenna. Hope it is clear

@@NizarMohideen Thanks for the reply. However I was concerned about choosing components when tuning using the circuits like pi and T filters.

I am sorry I don't have pi or T filters with me at the moment to demonstrate

Do this device tells us about dbi?

Nah, I don't think so. Only the frquency that the antenna says it produces or doesn't

which scale / div are you using?
@NizarMohideen2 жыл бұрын
Scale depends on the option we select. For example Logmag is in dB SWR is in ratio ( no units) Division is auto
