Wow! You are really imaginative and resourcefull, lots of great ideas. For the M&M close-up, have you used only a macro lens? Or did you add an extension tube to get very close? 🤔Thanks! 😉
@anotherperspective3076
@anotherperspective3076 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Anne, Thank you:) I used the sony a6300 with 90mm macro lens, but I did not go down completely to 1:1 magnification so I guess you can get similar results by using extension tubes. Actually I will make a video comparing the raynox dcr250, NISI Macro Filter and extension tubes. I will give that MnM topic one more try then;)

Can you make Bubbles photos without using the softbox? I don't have one :(
@anotherperspective3076
@anotherperspective3076 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, but thats a bit more difficult, because fot the images shows in the beginning I used the reflection of the softbox. Can you use any other white bright source? Maybe a tablet with a white screen? Of use paper and light it with a torch might also work. When you make a bunch of bubbles at it is shown at 10:30 you don't need anything. Those images were taken outside just with sunlight.

You can soften the light by using tracing paper. You can make a frame out of many home materials and attach the tracing paper. It's called a scrim. Then just shoot your flash through your homemade scrim. The more distance between flash and the scrim the softer your light will be.

Hi, I’m new to photography and I’ve a question. In the short movie of the dropping melted lead you write 25.600 frame per second. Did I get right? If yes, how could you make such a high frame rate with the camera? Thanks.
@anotherperspective3076
@anotherperspective3076 4 жыл бұрын
Hey, to take an image you need to use the burst mode of your camera (if it got one...:D), then you can shoot between 5 and 20 fps and we just have to hope to catch the right moment. Because I wanted to show what this moment looks like I used the photron fastcam mini ax200 which can record video with up to 1.000.000 frames per seconds (at low resolution)

Well made summary of your posts. Caution when melting lead; avoid inhaling fumes or you’ll risk lead poisoning (no kidding). Turn tables add another dimension. Colorful images, almost as colorful as your t-shirt😁. Ever do light painting with laser pointer type items?
@anotherperspective3076
@anotherperspective3076 4 жыл бұрын
I don't own a laser pointer, but maybe I borrow one and we will see what you can get with it. Did you try taking images with a laser pointer?
@paulm8157
@paulm8157 4 жыл бұрын
Another Perspective Yes, very cool but lots of trial and error in Bulb mode to get exposure right. Aside from pointers, other items from a hardware store have built-in laser beams - e.g., leveler, and tapeless distance measurement gear (good economical multi-purpose stuff). Shine laser on subject, of course, not back at camera.
