So the cic controller can wire to ANY power ground and can bus in the car?? Is there any way to talk to you about wiring the controller it’s all I need to do

Yes! Just run the canbus lines to under the dash and yes any power and ground. I tapped into the stereo power and ground

@@edirty9 does the canbus have to be under the dash can’t it be any of them? There’s canbus and ground + power under the driver seat that I was think of splicing into. I appreciate you answering back btw. I’ve been looking everywhere for a video like yours.

Having the same issue did the retrofit but I don’t have any audio from aux or radio. Heard that you have to code the radio to the original audio system of the car. Since the radio that’s in the car is from a different vehicle that could have a different audio system. Hope someone can give us some insight or help lmao.

Where did you put canbus line from the controller exactly

If you look behind the glove box you will see all the canbus lines all splice into a solid wire. I just tapped in there!

Did you get the nav, usb, and Bluetooth hands free phone working?

I got the glove box and hands free working. You’ll need coding or a vin emulator for the NAV

No, I didn’t opt for that one, I know I have to run the cable for the usb. I’m leaning more towards using a com box and doing Bluetooth

@@edirty9 I suggest looking into getting an android replacement screen or mmi box. Phone integration is quite limited even with the combox. I'm considering not bothering with activating the navigation and just run carplay/android auto

Yeah I’m not a big fan of the android and the mmi is cool. But since I really only want Bluetooth, the combox seems like my best option. Plus I’m an OEM butthurt so I’ll feel better about it 😂

So much work an as result you get outdated CIC 😕 Much easier is put an Android/CarPlay/AndroidAuto head unit on top on the original dash. Look much up to date compare to CIC and also offer more functionality.
