I never stopped playing slug bug, but hitting each other in the shoulder isn't really dangerous other than as adults, playing might be a bit distracting to the person driving. Things would get bad when we passed a vw dealer.

i volunteered at a rural fire department years ago and had a kid get driven into our fire department during drill one night. he had been up the hill at a party and someone through a can of hairsparay on the fire. It blew up and caused injury to the kids throat and lungs. he was concious when he came in, but we had to intibate and sedate him to put him on a medical flight, he never woke up. the damage to his lungs from one breathe of the exploding hairspray killed him. his body couldnt take in oxygen because of the burns to his lungs. my point is that people need to be cautious of their actions even seemingly mundane things can kill

A fun game my sisters, me, cousins, and friends would play alot in the summer was called Flash Light Tag. We would wait till it got dark outside, moonless nights were the best. Who ever was it had the flashlight. The aim of the game was to not get tagged or caught by the flashlight. So many injuries running into stuff, but we had fun!

We got bored with that.....played ghost in the graveyard or sardines instead GITG: Group at goal counts from 1 o'clock to 12 o'clock while a Ghost hides. Group splits to find G. First person to see G screams GHOST! Everyone runs to goal except the one G tags. Sardines: Group counts, IT hides. When you find IT you hide with IT. Last person to hide with group is IT.

I used to play blind freeze tag. The way it was played was you or the person who was it, either had on a blindfold or closed their eyes, then they spun around until they were dizzy. Then they had to tag someone, still with either eyes closed. The person that was tagged had to freeze for 30 seconds.

Nickles were better because they're thicker and have a sharper edge. We usually used quarters though because the were easier to flick across the table. Also, we didn't stop when the first person blead, we went till one quit. Also, to start, one person would spin the quarter, then the other would flick it to keep it spinning, then the other would flick it and so on, the one who knocked it over got the quarter flung into their knuckles.
@Mario_Gillette

There was also bloody knuckles with a comb, one all the dudes back then had in their back pocket with the handle. On guy would balance the comb on the back of their fist with the handle towards the other person. The other guy would try and grab the comb lift it up the bring the tips of the teeth of the comb down on the knuckles before he moved his hand. But if the one balancing the comb jerked his hand before the other could grab it and it fell, then he was punished by letting the other snap the comb on the knuckles for the pain factor. Lol

I loved Red Rover until it got banned at my Girl Scout camp near Arcadia, FL. Too many broken bones, which I think was one. In Indiana, they played car tag with everyone using a car to tag the other cars. I'm pretty sure it was replaced by GTA. In Fort Myers, we'd play Catch with whatever animals we managed to grab, from snakes and frogs to cats. During one of those games, I ended up catching a frog in my mouth, which triggered the epic Sarah-frog feud that's still ongoing today

I did not do this one but my to genius children did. 10 years ago I came home with my brand new helmet and bunker gear. (for fire fighting and vehicle rescue) Put it in my living room when upstairs to take a shower. As I was in the shower I hear running and then a loud bang. First I ignored it. Thinking maybe it was my neighbors. And then around every two minutes I would hear it over and over again. Went downstairs to find my two genes children. We're taking turns putting on the helmet and jacket. Running full force and bouncing their helmet covered heads against a brick wall. When I yelled what the f*** are you doing. My daughter looked at me with a big smile on her face and said it doesn't hurt it's fun.

The worst one (in my opinion) was one played in school - dodgeball! It was the perfect opportunity for bullies, actually given to them by a teacher, to tortuture smaller kids. Unfortunately for me, a scrawny little girl, I was good at the game. why is that unfortunate? More than once, I was the only one left on my side. The kids on the other side had a field day throwing all the balls at onces, as hard as they could, for I could not dodge all of them. OUCH!!!!

Anyone else use to play german torture? If you don't know what it is basically their are 2 teams , the British and the Germans. Let's say they both have 4 players each, the Germans would have to think of a word with 4 letters, each player gets a letter e.g if the word is cake, 1 player got the letter c someone got A and so on . Then the Germans would have 30seconds to run away then in came the British who's job was to get the person's letter but torturing them . Once all letters have been found they would have to find out what the code was and once the code was right the torturing would be done

@@list25 Have you guys done a list of the top 25 worst daycare teachers before? If not, could you please make one. I'm curious as to how many daycare teachers are worse than mine was. Mr. Wedding not only got his daycare taken away from him but he also lost his teaching license after my mom sued him regarding the injury I had received from that punishment. What made things even better is that Officer Neal, who was a good friend of my mom's despite the amount of times she had been arrested, was watching my daycare center at the very moment I was hung on the fence. It was a wooden fence and I think I might have gotten a splinter as well as a scrape.

I I had a Hasbro game in my way younger years. It was a plastic tube with holes for Pick-Up Sticks. You would push the sticks through the tube and the load the top of the tube with marbles. Each person takes a stick trying to make marbles fall. The one with the most sticks won (if I remember correctly).

These games were pretty stupid, but at least we were outside doing things instead of being on our phones all day long. I think one of the dumbest games we played was uncle I don't know of any deals ever heard of the game but you would each face your palms together and then dig your nails nails into each other's skin until someone was very hurt or until someone said Uncle. And we played Red Rover Red Rover we thought it was fun. Fun games were heads up 7 Up hopscotch, jump rope, double Dutch, tetherball, tag, hide and go seek, and Foursquare just to name a few. I don't remember playing many of these other games that you talked about maybe bloody knuckles. My oldest daughter used to play the game also and she said that came was the shit. But as for some of the other games I've never heard of them and yes Tristan children were stupid. That was an awesome list

My friends and I found a crowbar in the shed and thought it would be fun to re-enact Batman: Under the Red Hood. Long story short, we attempted clown paint and chased each other down the street trying to hit each other with a crowbar and couldn’t work out why everyone was staring.

I'm from The Bronx, (as you can see by my username), anyway, all of us placed car tag. Another "game " was Tarzan, we would tie a thick rope to a fire escape on the 5th floor, and swing from that building to the next building, where you get off then another kid would grab the rope and swing to the other building. Those were the good ole days! Thank you for sharing this awesome video guys!

I can think of 4 1 Letter B Anytime anyone said a word that began with the letter B, you would punch them( usually in the arm) until they said letter B...some people would forget that they were playing.... 2 Open Chest a variation of Letter B but here if anyone left their chest area exposed you could punch them in their chest but only once per person 3 Left hand If anyone was holding anything in their left hand you could shout out "left hand" and take it...and it was for keeps 4 Three fly(s) A group of people and a ball...someone would be positioned a little further from the rest of the group and throw the ball high and toward the group(called a fly). whoever caught would be gang tackled until they either dropped the ball or escaped the assault. if you forsed the fumble you would be the one to throw the ball, if you escaped it was your turn. You could only fumble three times before you were "out". Last one (who didn't quit) wins

most of those I have never heard of. I thought this list would include things like playing with mercury , peeing on an electric fence , racing cars towards the edge of a cliff, lighting fire crackers , Racing on chairs propelled by fire extinguishers, or maybe games that were actually sold in toy stores and the latter pulled off the market. Lawn Darts did make it to the list so that's one.

I played a game called PASS OUT. The object of the game was one person would get down on their hands and knees and count to ten, on the count of ten they would quickly stand-up and cross their arms across their chest while holding their breath. At that point someone would come up behind you, wrap their arms around you and squeeze as hard as they could until you passed out. The object was to see who would pass out for the longest time.
