*Question to All Tata EV owner* Sir's i m not happy with headlights.. Service center told me to not replace the company supplied headlamps.. Have you guys did any modifications.. Anything please help.. Like headlight, speaker, ambient lighting etc.. My cars gear selector is also very laggy.. Steering mounted audio control also misbehave many times.. Instead of changing song it will go on mute or change source etc.. *Any one please help, I own Tata nexon ev 2022*

Hi ! I am not sure how long ago exactly the showroom guys advised you not to change the lights as the OEM has already approved this long ago and LEDs of the same specs by 2 reputed brands have been approved. I suggest you get the steering mounted controls checked along with the software version of the infotainment.

In Buddhadesh (Nepal) we are going through an EV revolution....more than 70% of new car sales are EV. Such groups never formed here may be because we jumped into EV world quite abruptly!! Here Tata is facing stiff competition from more advanced Chinese cars like BYD, Neta, etc and MG !

The major issue is the high initial cost. If companies could bring down the cost the EV penetration will be a lot simpler and in interior parts the charging infrastructure is also not that well…. Have booked the punch ev LR… hoping for the best😂

Congratulations on booking Punch.ev! The initial high cost that you mention should be compared with an ICE car with similar specs. In other words, an EV should be compared with an automatic transmission petrol or diesel car. And when you consider the per KM running cost, the difference becomes drastically small. Plus the added benefits of low maintenance costs, long lasting tyres, and much more. And when you factor in the convenience of having a full tank/full battery at home every morning, plus the electricity bill payments that are made "after" one month of charging, as compared to petrol pumps, where you ₹4-5 thousand pay upfront for a full tank, the benefits of EVs shine distinctly. Our suggestion to first time EV owners is "Pehle istemaal karein, fir vishwas karein!" 😁 EV Zindabaad!

Yes. Initial cost is high. Plus the battery price is almost 3-4 lakhs for 35kw battery Although has 8 years warranty Not sure what will happen after 8 years. Also not sure tata offers 8 years on motor too. Ev price not gonna reduce in another 3-4 years. Even when battery prices reduce. As demand goes high . Motor which is getting made with Magnets also goes high. Already those are rare.the.motors has to be made in diffrent type of magnets not just neodymium magnets. So price not gonna fall depsite battery prices fall. Extensive R and D would make the cost of Ev to have similar prices for next 3-4 years. Although we see price cuts in China and America for EV..but they cant match Tatas ev prices. Tesla model 3 even with all price cut costs 26-30 lakhs without any govt import taxes. Even if they plan to make in india. They would hit the price tag of 30+ lakhs for model 3. Byd Atto series almost costs 24-28 lakhs. And other series of them are even higher. Mg zs costs 23 lakhs Kona costs 23-25 lakhs Although they have better tech compared to tata But india needs EV segment proces to go below 10 lakh. Which might not happen without Tata or Mahindra Even if MG comet could give. See the battery pack just 16kw . Tiago 24kw couldn't even breach 220km range People won't be confident to own it Everyone's are demanding atleast 500km range for under 15 lakh. Punch has come close to 423km under 15 lakh . But it's arai real range.is some where around 320 to 350 km . I wish they bring 50kw batteries under 15 lakh and get 600km ARAI..so a real range of 450-500 km can be achieved. Infact tata.told punch can do upto 600 km range with the updated chasis. They should provision to expand the battery by 15kw futhur. So people could get punch and explain d the battery pack in future. New tech always costs high. Intial adoptors has to pay the price. But adopting and using it gives you immense pride and feel ..you'll be leader and expert in your.circle using new tech . People approach you often Cos just owning ather 450 in 2019 .being first in chennai . Got the attention of.many people. Even police officers. Hundreds of enquiries . Kids were so enthusiastic seeing the ev running with metro sound. Ather owners used to have weekends meetups ..group rides..it was fun Hope tata could injest some sound for the others to be aware EV is coming..atleast for sometime until EV becomes mainstream

The 2L difference becomes more significant when factoring in on-road costs, especially with the considerable advantage of nil or significantly discounted road tax for electric vehicles.

And with CNG as performance level is different.. And the people who has solar panel on the house has a different level of saving so.. Only drawback is a charge time and that will be improve if Tata start supporting higher voltage.. If tata support 100KV DC fast charger then EV can charge In 15 mins Like tesla support 100KV and has 100KV battery **

Expect battery prices to decrease in the next 5-8 years. The 8 year warranty doesn't mean the battery suddenly dies. Only specific cells lose power, usually. So, you may only need to replace those cells, not the entire battery.

Before buying this are cons. 1.fossil fuel are still consumed 2. Loss during transmission of electric power for ev charging purpose around 25 to 30 percent. 3.cost of ev vechicle you pay petrol price in advance at time of purchase. 4. Head ache for long travels 5. Long charging time and insufficient fast charging infrastructure. 6. Expert mechanic and show room can only repair sophisticated ev car. 7.If ev caughts fire , it cannot be estinguished with water , rather it acts as fuel. 8. Battery life detorites over time hence range keeps on reducing day wise. 9. Cost of replacement of battery is high. 10 . You are paying battery cost i.e the fuel cost , plus charging Bill , So no savings 11.You just have stupid belive which make you belive that you are saving something or making this planet green. 12. To extract lithium again fossil fuels are required during mining. 13. Future is water engine developed by toyata.

Economical unke liye nhi hai jinka running 50 - 70 km se zyada hai kyunki upfront cost hi itna aayega ki usme 5 years plus ka petrol aa jayega. EV emergency mein kaam nhi aayegi agar charge kam ho petrol ya diesel ko pump tk le ja kr instant fuel kr k nikal sakte hain. Jinki running 50 km daily se kam hai EV is just waste of money for them go for ice engine vehicle only. EV is too costly as compared to ice vehicles and EV ka resale value bhi nhi milega.

@@jec_ecart Adhjal Gagri chalkat Jaye..I have been using the hybrid inverter of 6KW since 3+ Years and even if grid is not there I can use full production from solars for powering my home and EVs and it happens many times that I charged my car even if there no grids for days(Happened multiple times because of storms) as I reside in village and any disruption in electricity gets extended for days.
