The Camille Rose Cleansing Milk, I bought the Rose and it’s at Target for $9.99. I believe there are three kinds and full disclosure, as far as cleansing goes it’s VERY gentle. In looking at the ingredients I’m not sure there are any surfactants at all. So if someone likes even their co-wash to have some sudsing this is not it (at least not the Rose, not sure about the other two). I’ve been using it as a pre-poo and it detangles and softens very well. BUT (always a but lol), it’s only 8 oz.

I mentioned some products that are under the $10 price point already. BUT... I just wanted to shout out for bulk/diy/and using black owned and STILL saving coin. I use 7 items for my routine- prepoo, shampoo, multi-use conditioner, acv rinse, moisturizer, butter and gel. I buy bulk for three of them, make three of them, and two of them are black-owned, (two of the products are even made local to me!) I literally just looked over my receipts - a years' worth of these _very_ high quality products, that go a super long way- is $300. For give or take 52 wash days- that's around $6 a wash day. So I TOTALLY get that getting the $300 together in one go is not that easy, and storing it all, and that DIY is not to everyone's taste (some wash days it's not to *my* taste, lol)... $6 wash days with quality products can be done.

A good under $10 masque I like is the original Texture ID masque at Sally’s and if you catch it a good BOGO, you can get the entire line around $25. Fun experiment💚! Very creative using Aloe as the leave in😉 10% taxes🤯

I truly loved this video! Aunt Jackie’s, and eden body works were brands that I found the second year of my journey and was in love. However, This is why I make sure I have employment that doesn’t just mildly pay my bills and just make me forget about self care. As adults of color especially, we are taught to just work and truthfully not take care of ourselves! So for me, I will never go the cheap route with my ingredients!!! I know not every mid luxury/ luxury brand will work for my type 4 hair, however quality means everything, when my tlc is involved!
@LaToyaEbonyHair4 жыл бұрын
This is a WORD! I’ve definitely (without knowing it) transitioned into a similar state of mind. If it’s inexpensive and it works well, great! But if I know my hair (and body) loves a product that uses quality ingredients and works well, I’ll make sure I can get what I need. Skip the fast food and dollar store trinkets if you have to! I think it’s a combination of what you CAN do and what you’re WILLING to do to get what you want. Of course this excludes the people who are just down on their luck. Shit happens. But if you’ve been selling yourself short, it’s time to make a change. 🙌🏾 You’re spot on.
