How To Keep Type 4 Hair Moisturized ALL WEEK | Simple and Cheap

How to keep type 4 hair moisturized all week? That is the biggest question for many naturals to date. The best technique for me has been layering. As of this video, I was using the LOC method to moisturize my hair. Meaning, in a previous step I included oil before this cream application step. So far this method has worked for me, but I feel like experimenting to see if another technique or group of products will help me reach longer hair length goals. Again, this routine has worked for the past 10 years - even after my last big chop 3 1/2 years ago. But what’s the harm in exploring? I take your suggestions seriously, so I’ll be sure to keep you updated on any hair regimen changes that I do in the future. I’ve already began. :)

Twice a week if needed, but usually life takes over and I do it once. A lot of it is feeling my hair and deciding if I need more water or more product. I stopped doing the LOC method. I had been doing that for years but I started using hair grease as a sealant and my hair stays moisturize all week! I absolutely love it and it's been working so well for my hair. It's always interesting to see what everyone's regimen is like.

Love the size of your twists. The longer my hair gets, I am noticing I try to twist bigger since my strands are thin and I have low to medium density hair, extremely fragile. I have had to come to terms time and time again that my hair responds better when left alone as much as possible.

When I returned natural, I used the LOC method but I noticed it didn't leave my hair moisturize for long. Then I switched to the LCO method and I must say it has really improved my moisture game. My hair retains moisture more than ever before. But I do well to seal my ends properly with my DIY hair butter and Oil. And my DIY leave in cobditiiner (flaxseed and Aloe vera ) has been great. I love your hair, it's so beautiful and healthy.

I’d like to offer another perspective. As much as a content creator tries to respond to everyone, they are constantly creating new content on a weekly basis and it become increasingly difficult. With each new video, there’s an onslaught of new questions and comments that take priority. In order to respond to everyone all the time, the amount of hours (even someone at my size) has to sacrifice really does slow down the creation of more content. So many creators get...well, creative, and respond to everyone in the form a a new video addressing some of the more popular comments. Imagine having to create the time to respond to every comment from today as well as content you made 5 years ago...while still putting in the hours to create more content, maintain business relationships, be present on other social platforms, and still be...human. I’ve seen some creators that don’t respond at all, but that’s personally not my style. I think it’s always in the best interest of the creator to respond to everyone and most of us know that. It’s just not always feasible in reality. This is something I am realizing more and more this year. I hope that perspective is helpful. Thank you for opening the door for me to speak about it. 🙏🏾💕

So many great ideas!! I do not have hair as curly as yours, heck, it used to be nearly straight. Then kids and hormones happened and now I have these kinky coily curls that I've spent years trying to figure out what the heck to do with! You appeared in my recommended videos and after watching, I just had to subscribe. I also have Type 4 hair: 4A/3C and it's low to medium density. I big chopped a year ago after years of relaxers and my hair is in the awkward 5-8 inch length. My go to styles are finger coils and wash and gos and I wash my hair twice per month. I don't remoisturize my hair in between wash days because my medium porosity hair retains moisture well. After watching this video I might start remoisturizing and stretching my hair although I love shrinkage because it makes my hair appear thicker than it is. Your hair is beautiful and healthy.

Welcome to my internet family! 👋🏾 I believe most of our hair types thrive when adding water to it mid week, but the decision to stretch it is really up to you. I stretch because I want to avoid single strand knots and ranges, but if you don’t have the issue it’s probably not necessary. Hope that helps!

@@LaToyaEbonyHair I get very few single strand knots at this length but I expect an increase as my hair gets longer. So I guess I will wait to stretch my hair. Wash and gos and finger coils are easy and convenient and my hair doesn't dry out.
