giving 7 years to an unpredictable exam is the biggest mistake one can make in life. One should give maximum 3 attempts with full time preparation. If not cleared in 3 attempts, then try something else, this is a harsh exam pls dont make it the only goal in life, make it a part of life only !

It is immaterial whether this young gentleman becomes an IAS or not. Successful toppers cannot and should not be the example. They are exceptions and exception can never be the guiding force. As they donot know how to reach or understand the common student's problems. So, it is always wise to listen to the voice of a struggling one.

When I was in undergrad, my parents also kept this option of IAS infront of me. They gave me a choice and I decided not to take it. Mujhe pata tha mai nahi kar paungi aur mere years aur paise barbaad ho jaenge. Now I work for an MNC, haa private hai, glamour nahi hai, lekin jo bhi hai theek hai. Maine accept kr liya. Sabka nahi ho sakta yaar. Jinka hota hai wo rare hain. Very much respect to them. But agar apko pata hai ki apse nahi ho paega, toh ap wo karo jo apse ho sake.

There is a need of change towards this govt. exam prepration game.......without any back up plan its a huge risk to invest your productive age in this. No matter how much talented you are, after a certain time when failures hits you multiple times you find yourself in a self rejection mode and it's a worse situation ever to come out. Don't take time granted, set the limit so that you could move on eaisly to some other options. Every one has dreams in ones life but it wont take much time when dreams become nightmare. Have a plan......Even we insure our non living things then why we can't insure our carrer with a back up plan.

This is reality of life that we, the youth of India must accept with dignity.. IAS/IPS definitely gives you power & fame.. but very few positions are there & that path is obviously can be taken by just a few each year..Why waste everything behind one exam? IAS me selection ka trick ye hai ki aapki graduation premiere institute se honi chahiye,like IIIT,IIM etc,selection easy ho jata hai.

Foolish statement. I can show you many from IITs who gave multiple attempts and ultimately opted out due to uncertainty and joined somewhere else.

@@anup1132 You must be living in some imaginery world or fools paradise. I've cousins, friends from IITs, IIMs. Atleast 15 of them prepared for Civil Service exam. Not all could get through. Only two succeeded. Rest of them are either in corporate or academics.

@@anup1132 Having degree from premiere institute is not a guarantee to clear this exam. You may be from tier 3 institute but focused enough. You may sail through. Premiere institute just gives you tag. In a dumb society like India where anybody from these institutes can be hailed brilliant even if they were poor throughout during the course.

I am of 25....मैं upsc aspirant तो नही रहा लेकिन चार साल failure मैंने भी देखा। कई बार विश्वास भी डगमगाया कि कर पाऊंगा या नहीं लेकिन खुद से यह वादा था और खुद को ही पुरा करना था। कहते है ना कि सच्ची लगन से की गई मेहनत कभी व्यर्थ नहीं जाती और इस साल मेरा government school में sst teacher में चयन हो गया है।

@@NV-dk3jz ji main chij continuity ke sath revision hai. Kai baar ham wo chije padhte rahte hai jinhe exam me pucha hi nahi jata. Maine 2 saal railway ntpc ke liye khrab kar diye. Baad me 2021 se sirf state level ki exams par hi focus Kiya . Sirf Othentic books se padhkar exam se pehle Kam se Kam 7- 8 baar toh revision Karne ki koshish kare. syllabus ka print out hamesha paas rakhe. Aur jab exam najdik aa jaye toh tab kuch bhi naya nhi padhe. exam se 20- 30 din pahle jyada hard study na kare aur relax rahe. padhai ke sath sath proper nind bhi jaruri hai. Last time aap koi test series ya practice paper solve karna start kar de. Jis se aap ne jo kuch padha hai wo ek sath hi jaldi se revise ho jayega. study ko hamesha enjoy kare. group study ki jagah akle padhna thik hai. negative logo se dur rahe. Aur bhi aapka koi question Ho toh me reply de dunga. Ok .......
