I think it's extremely rare to find a lavender fragrance that actually smells like well-grown lavender. Most of them are soiled by an overdose of amber/vanilla accords. Which turns its herbal freshness into a cloying headache.

Appreciate you doing ideas that others aren't touching 🙏 I have sunshine man / music for awhile & lavander extreme. So it was fascinating to hear about others that I haven't tried. I'd add Mr.bojnokoffs purple hat by fort&manle, a huge blast of lavander in the opening but it doesn't stay all that long. So it may just be a honorable mention.

Lavandula was the only fragrance I could wear the day after a migraine. Sadly, I emptied my bottle a while ago... I love the lavender in the top notes of Jicky by Guerlain (💞💞💞). And Twilight from Lush is a very cosy combinaition of lavender and tonka bean ! Thank you so much for your videos that I very much enjoy !

The last lavender prominent fragrance I ever wore was Drakkar Noir back in the 80's! It was actually the first fragrance I ever bought when I was in 9th grade. I wore that for 12 years straight until I switched to Acqua di Gio when it came out in 1996. Maybe it's about time I revisit that note! Thanks for the great reviews as always Sebastian!

Great great list 🙌 I love Lavender and totally agree with you about chanel they most certainly have a distinct DNA and aldehydes are a key ingredient in that DNA I love chanel boy it got so much hate when it came out 🤔 I guess its boring to many but its executed brilliantly and Jersey is next in my sights from the line.

I sampled Lavender Extreme, scandal and Bois du Portugal and liked the last one the most. Reminds me a little bit of Folgere Royal . Really nice. I bought Molinards as blind buy but if its similar to Tom Fords i will like it too.

I'm a dog groomer and have been using a lavender cologne on all my clients dogs for the past 7 years. I'm not game to change it since everyone loves it! So checking out lavender fragrances so I don't smell like my dogs LOL. And I agree, you can always smell a Chanel DNA! Love your reviews ❣️

Lavender's great! I'm thinking about rebuying masculin Pluriel, because it's such a well-balanced fragrance. A similar, but more soapy one is At the Barber's. Others that I would add to this unique list are: Hartley by Mazzolari (a warmer Reflection Man), Gris clair by Serge Lutens (melancholic, slightly dusty Lavender) and one of my all-time favourites - Fars by Xerjoff (Lavender, Geranium on a stellar warm, woody-ambery basis).

Hello. I just wanted to ask a simple question. Why is dior ambre nuit so expensive compared to dior homme parfum when homme lasts longer and in my oppinion smells better.(this beeing just an example but you get what i mean) My question would also be - why would buy expensive niche fragrances if they do not perform way better. I watched your top 20 sillage videos as well and might try buying something from there. P.S. You are my favorite fragrance reviewer. Great work!

Thanks for bringing in Le Male! Been wearing a clone, Perry Ellis 360 White, layered with The Body Shop’s White Musk recently and liking the results. Also picked up English Laundry’s Signature, which is supposed to be a clone of Le Male, but I don’t like it as much because it leaves out the vanilla, so it’s a bit too much like plain clean laundry. Keep it up, Sebastian! Love what you’re doing!

Funny my two favorites are at the beginning and end! I have been wearing Caron Pour un Homme for over a decade after trying it by chance at the Roja Dove shop inside Harrods. I'm on my 3rd or 4th bottle. I've had the Parfum as well but the original is still so good. Its definitely in my top 5 of all time. So often I wear it and smell it later in the day when you think it would be gone, and then it comes back to beautifully. Its also one of those scents that definitely gets a reaction but its 'wow you smell so good' vs 'what fragrance are you wearing'. Guerlain Heritage is another favorite, I have the EDP which is really incredible but now I think I need to get the EDT as well! Sebastian you are right on that this is one of the best masculines ever created. It doesn't get the love it should, and I definitely think women would love the EDP.

I never like anything lavender...until my friend Don Spengel (r.i.p) introduced me to mirus Elysian Fields...OMG!!! Best smelling lavender I ever smelled. My friend was a perfumist. Clearly, I didn’t know anything about perfumes but was so interested in him telling me about all kinds of fragrances. After he past, I been trying to be more into fragrances like him...totally far from it lol. But I search perfume experts on here and I randomly clicked this video and was so impressed. I felt like I was listening to my friend. I was thinking that i would have heard Elysian Fields on here because it was so shocking to me to smell so good. Great video! Very informative. I’m totally subscribing so I can have a great guide on fragrances. I think I want to look into the 2 fragrances that were like an authentic lavender smell. But I’m a noob so we will see!
