I admit, I was on the fence if I was gonna be interested in this (I’ve thought about doing this before) but I realized it really doesn’t matter where you are. It’s the mindset, and I think this is a good visual of you taking the life lessons from the trails and turning them into fruition of the these positive videos. Thank you, Man!
@JustinOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I was on the fence too! haha. But it was a ton of fun. I think treating it as if it was a full day in the mountains helped - with route planning, having a longer day, and outfitting for hiking. I've been doing a lot of shorter walks/runs around the City, but they are not the same. Glad you enjoyed it!

Great video. I moved to Colorado from Florida and became a lot more serious about hiking. I got into 14,000 foot peaks (climbed 35 my first year) and now have got into ice climbing. Just recently I began publishing KZbin videos of these experiences and I have never been happier. There was a ton of discomfort involved, but the pay off is priceless. Keep at it!

I'm jealous of the 14ers! In the Canadian Rockies, things top out at 11k, but they are pretty technical peaks! I've been getting into mountaineering and it really opens up a lot of doors!

I hear ya, I've been trying to stay in shape but it's crazy how much daily movement adds up. Even with daily running and exercise, it's not enough to make up for the lack of walking and moving I'd otherwise be doing in addition. I was surprised at how fun a day of random walking would be! Try it!
