Eddie i cant give you enough praise for this Video, i was always so active and fit, i then got Bone cancer that meant i had to have the entire bone in my left leg from ankle to groin removed along with the muscle, my mental health just went down so fast i was in a mess, walking getting outside ( even if it was not far ) saved my life, so pleased you have put up this video Eddie im sure it will help many people, love the fact that you dont just do Newcastle football vids because your content is just always so much fun to watch, thank you Eddie.

Great vid as usual mate and I actually did those stairs a few weeks ago haha. Also I worked for the police as a civi back in the early 90s i heard about the extent of the tunnels under Newcastle are quite staggering. Maybe you could dig into that (pardon the pun lol).

I’ve covered bits and bobs about tunnels; Victoria Tunnel, Air raid shelter under Grainger Market but I definitely need to explore some more 👍🏻

Nice one Eddie. I live in Nottingham now but still get back to Newcastle regularly sometimes on my tod and sometimes with the missus. I think I appreciate the City more now tthat Ive moved away and now make a point of trying to discover places I've not done before. I wasn't aware that section of wall at the top of Dog Leap stairs was part of Hadrian's but had actually noticed it when I'd parked up near the Vermont hotel a couple of weeks back. All good stuff!

Thanks Eddie, I try to do loads of urban walking in my own city of Leeds. It’s a great stimulant for better mental health and a great way to exercise. For some reason I find it much more interesting than walking in the countryside.

I play pokemon go with my sons it's contains lots of info about points of interest and the more you walk the more rewards you get . Niantic are slowly ar mapping the world .

@Tyneside Life they started it with ingress. But obvs pokemon go is much bigger . All points of interest are user submitted through niantic wayfarer. Often poi are stops you spin for items or gyms that you can place pokemon in . Its very addictive !! But most of all it gets you out in search of new places etc
