The shortcut at the top of Sen's Fortress is so dang convenient for getting back to Andre while you're dealing with Anor Londo and before defeating Ornstein and Smough. Sen's Fortress is definitely my favorite area in the game. Also, a note on the pit in Lost Izalith, it's actually one of the places you meet Siegmeyer during his questline. I messed up and got him killed there in my first run.

You know this is a really good point, personally i find it a right pain in the a*** to keep trekking back and forth between the two blacksmiths, so i usually just wait until i have the lord vessel, but thinking about it, this lift would make the journey much easier! I definitely need to do a playthrough purely focussed on quest lines, I've done most of them, but i keep finding something I've missed or skipped along the way!
@colinhoffman90926 ай бұрын
Not messed up, Siegmeyer wanted to be a gallant knight and help you for once, and dying as a knight was much better than his other options of going hollow and attacking his daughter
@Eyedunno5 ай бұрын
I looked at a guide, but not carefully enough because I still messed up. I killed all of the chaos eaters before talking to him to make sure he would survive and then was surprised not to get the slab from his questline. :( I figured out the thing about breaking the box before the rat can come out by accident, and it was a bummer because I like to farm humanity there, and killing that one with dark bead or whatever would have been nice.
@TheWayne935010 ай бұрын
Regarding #17; you can speak to Kingseeker Frampt before Karth and still join his covenant and get the alternate ending. Its not about which serpent you speak to first, until you get the Lordvessel. I used Frampt to eat broken sword hilts and crush titanite pieces up until I get the Lordvessel on my current playthrough, and I just placed it with Karth. Frampt is butthurt now and no longer provides his services but thats how it goea.

Sometimes I think poison arrows are the most OP weapon in the game. You can poison the Anor Londo archers, the giant sentinels before O&S, the man-eating clams before Seath and even the serpents in Sen’s Fortress (you wouldn’t think you could poison snakes, but there it is). Useless against rats and in much of Blighttown of course, but such a reliable weapon I always stock up on them in every game. It’s a shame there’s literally only one place you can get them (female undead merchant).

Fun fact: If you enter gwyndolin covenant and fight him or his fire keeper you will get an alternative dialogue Priscilla is one of the only optional bosses in the entire game It's implied that Kirk Of Thorns defected from the Darkwraiths and decided to protect the fair lady, the evidence is that you can find him on the Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith which this last location being near the Bed Of Chaos boss arena and close to one of the sisters of Izalith and after you finally defeating him you can retrieve from his corpse his set close to the fair lady

All of those i mentioned are really optional, this isn't by using any tricks or glitches. You can play the game from start to finish and skip every one of them if you want to. I'm not sure what you mean by "really optional", a boss is either optional or mandatory.
@Eric67619 ай бұрын
@@libralonix for me optional is that you have to first start the fight, Gwyndolin you have to go out of your way to fight him and he even gives you an warning before facing him, Priscilla you have to start attack because unlike Taurus regardless he is going to attack you

Ahh ok i get what your saying now regarding Priscilla. However, if you are also including Gwyndolin then there is no difference with Kalameet or Stray Demon (and to a degree all the optional bosses), depending on if you "know" the game or not before playing, you kinda have to go out of your way for most bosses if you didn't want to go that way. I agree with Priscilla being "more optional", but Gwyndolin is just the same as all other option bosses imo

Best class is pyro because of starting set poison resist. Bump Garg tail. Curvy move for bloody dragonflies. Get loads of shards in Blighttown from +6 to +10 much much much faster than any other class. Get fireball so no need for black fire bombs and go master key. Only drawback is you have to go as far as the depths to get the first pyro so you will actually have to beat the Capra demon. You have to go blightown proper to get power within which is crucial for new game plus and plus plus. Can fully level a pyro hand and be low level. Gets you access. Does great damage against drakes to farm scales. Combustion/great combustion melee distance pyromancies are best spells in game. Dusk crown and lingering ring boost pyros too. Will have to free that quizzling in the basement. Go bloodshield it is worth it. For that matter bump garg helm, Logan’s chest piece, equip Smo’ gauntlets, bloody skirt blood ring and lifehunt scythe. If Dex and not get Priscilla’s tail go to ash lake and donate all scales. Will go well with pyro. Ash lake best spot to grind for twink titans. If faith make sure you kill big chested woman in pretty city. Then go as low as you can and play around with rings and statues. If faith Grant is a fucking slayer, be human on your way to the miasma lord. Recommend going intelligence because souls of hero’s just follow Logan throughout the entire game. After you have beaten the game a few times around, save approx 3000 souls and buy 999 wooden arrows. Be picky about your item list, change your mind about adjusting the brightness, and then just quit.

If we're talking Dark Souls 2 then I might believe there's some Secrets I don't know still, somehow. As much as I love Dark Souls the second one is probably my for real favorite, the other ones seem like half put together compared to Dark Souls II, Dark Souls 3 is still probably my favorite because of the bosses and I would honestly take any of these three over Elden ring which isn't bad but it just seems like a pale shadow in comparison
@libralonix6 ай бұрын
Dark Souls 1 is my cozy comfort souls game, i just absolutely love it, but you are right, as we know the 2nd half of the game was rushed, but i still think they did a very decent job overall. DS2 gets waaaaayyyyyyy too much hate, i get it, its not Dark Souls 1, but it IS a fantastic game in its own right, i love that they somehow managed to take Dark Souls and make it Darker, Grittier, and more challenging. As much as i tear my hair out (if i had any) i really love this game! Dark Souls 3 was, at the time of playing it for the first time, my favourite in the series. I felt like they had just perfected everything across the board, game mechanics, visuals, bosses, they were all just stunning. Especially the bosses, DS3 by far has the best bosses in the whole of the Dark Souls series (barring the DS2 DLC, is superb)! Now Elden Ring, for me, this is the swan song to the Dark Souls series, it took everything FS had learnt over the last decade and made an almost perfect game, i just love everything about ER, my only complain was it wasn't big enough!

Some may know everything, others may only know a few. But these videos are helpful to some, and that's all that matters to me. Oh damn, I guess I missed that page in the KZbin handbook that says we're not allowed to make content about older games, thanks for letting me know!

@@libralonix no worries, next time try and be more original instead of trying to come across deceptive like you found someone no one else has, unless you actually did. This is like me making a video about star wars and saying "hey, did you know that Darth Vader is Luke's father?!"

@@libralonix Ignore that guy, I thought your video was good, man. Yeah about 2/3 of these secrets are well trodden ground by this point but thats an inevitability really. There was enough there to warrant a watch, so thank you for the effort you put in to making it! 😎👍
