The Sarah Joe was a new one to me. Not sure how I never heard of it. But it is a puzzler. My guess he was the only one that made it to the atoll, died and was buried by passing fishermen. The manner of his burial was consistent with Chinese burial traditions.

I had a friend of mine disappear while going home to her son. On Oct 15, 1997, Jami Furnandiz was last seen in the town of Port Perry, Ontario, after dropping her child off to day care. She was scheduled to attend school in the area but did not show up and has not been seen since. Jami Furnandiz frequented the Oshawa downtown and was known to hitchhike by means of traveling between cities. It's a long shot, but maybe someone out there knows something.

I know one person that disappeared. Well, know is a bit of a stretch. He disappeared before my birth, but he's my father. This man disappeared so efficiently I doubt that witness protection services could have done it better. He left nothing behind to show he had ever been here, aside from the embryo that would become me. And a bevy of divorce lawyers couldn't find him over the course of 30 years.

No real need to, to be honest. In fact, most mob hits do not fall into the "mysterious" or "unexplained" categories. Especially since several made guys have discussed his murder and dismemberment in fairly good detail. More than likely dumped in pieces in the ocean, or disposed of in a local garbage dump. After all, the mob in those times had the garbage pickup business locked down tight. Hoffa simply would not step down from his union job, which was given to him by the higher-ups in the mob. It created "heat" that went against cosa nostra rules. The result... his forced removal and permanant silencing.

when I was in the 6th grade, I started a day late to a new school. The school year prior I was in the 4th grade and had been skipped ahead, my foster mom wasn't prepared at all and the following school year she had forgotten and sent me to my old school on the first day instead. Because I was a day late the VP decided to ask another 6th grader to escort me around for the day, the kids name was Jimmy M. and ironically Jimmy, like me, was also skipped ahead one grade. He showed me around and we discovered that we shared the last three classes of the day together, which was weird since the 6th graders were separated by the alphabet. All the kids with surnames between A-L shared what we called AM classes, this meant that me (Whose last name starts with A) had all my general classes in the mornings and after 11am lunch, I had all my electives. I hadn't thought or realized that Jimmy was in the M-Z or PM classes group and that there was no way he could've been in P.E./Art/Foreign Lang/Computer...etc. with me. But none the less, he and I became friends and although we didn't share any interests, we did have some bizarre coincidences that linked us together. Jimmy had told me that his Mom was White and his estranged Dad was Native American, my Mom was half White/Native American and my estranged Dad was Native American. He was born on Sept. 17th and I was born on Sept. 18th, he was just 12 hours older than me and after telling his Mom about our slight coincidences, she sent him to school one day with a picture of him in his crib at the hospital...our small town had a small nursery and the photo showed me sharing the same crib with him. My name on the a second place card next to his. It was a weird occurrence that stuck with me all these years, we became friends and stayed friends up until our Junior year of H.S. I had gotten deep into partying, drugs and hustling after I was emancipated at the age of 15, because of the friends we had outside of school, Jimmy and I never hung out together after school hours. We had acquaintances that connected us together, so I would hear about him and his friends often. But after I moved away for awhile, I lost touch with him and after battling my own addictions and a stint of Cancer...I moved home and started reconnecting with old friends. But I took his absence as he moved away too and that I most likely wasn't going to see him unless I made an effort to find him. This would happen when a friend that we shared got out of prison and I was able to reconnect, his name is Rich and I grew up with him since we were in Pre-K. Months passed after we reconnected and I ran into Rich at a local bar hangout, we talked about our current lives and something reminded me of Jimmy and I asked Rich if he remembered him or knew anything about what he was up to currently...Rich had no idea who I was talking about. I had told him that all through H.S. I would see them together (at least when Jimmy wasn't with me or a couple other kids.) and he started to show concern for me. I tried to remind him as best as I could, but Rich just was not understanding who I was talking about. I am a pretty good Illustrator and decided to sketch a few pictures of Jimmy for him to see, I even detailed it with clothes he had worn and specific colors. But he still did not know who I was talking about, he even contacted the other kids I said I remember seeing with Jimmy. He directed them to the pictures I drew and placed on Facebook, they all commented that they too did not remember a kid matching this description. I have tried searching for anyone that shared his name and birthday, only two guys popped up with weak social media profiles and each only having one photo of themselves. Both photos are grainy AF, one guy isn't even looking up at the camera when the photo is taken and the other is at a distance, he was in a race of some sorts and the person that snapped the photo was obviously far away and then zoomed in when posting. The guy that wasn't looking at the camera was born two years later and lived in a town on the other side of our home state with no indications that he lived in my town. The Racer was born a year before me on a totally different day and he was born and raised in England...but both guys look strikingly similar to the kid I grew up with. To this day I am left feeling like the he was sucked onto the Void, like Molly in the Amazing World of Gumball. He just disappeared and NO ONE remembers him, I am just left with memories that are growing faint over the years.

Love your channel 💕 I grew up in a small town in Western central Alberta and my grandpa swears he met DB Cooper, and he was living in our area; my grandfather wasn’t 1 to tell unnecessary stories and he was old enough to know about the moment. My grandfather died in 2003 at the age of 73. The other 1 that wasn’t mentioned was Nahanni Valley or also known as the Headless Valley in the Northwest Territories Canada that had many bizarre stories of people going missing (not really that far from the Inuit story by Canadian standards) Your channel probably has enough context for a part 2-3 etc….. Keep up the awesome work!! 💕👍🙏🏻

He deserted his family in Eastern Canada, moved to New York, where he met my grandmother, moved to Washington state, where they had 2 kids, then the Western Canada where they had 3 more kids. But he actually died here. My uncle was at a dance, during world war II and was set up on a blind date, that turned out to be his half sister!! We're still in touch with the other branch of the family.

The archeological concensus on the disappearance of the Anasazi is that a prolonged drought caused them to move. I've been to Mesa Verde national park several times and toured the ruins which are very impressive. One puzzling disappearance case happened in 1970s in Fort Worth, Texas, where I live. A 17 year old young lady named Rene Trelesa and two younger girls disappeared from the busy Seminary South shopping Mall shortly before Christmas. Her car was found in the parking lot, and there were no indications of anything unusual. A note was found, but it wasn't in her handwriting, and didn't make much sense anyway. Despite an extensive search over a long period of time, no trace's were ever found.

The Beaumont Children:- On January 26th (Australia Day), 1966, siblings Jane (9yrs), Arnna (7yrs) and Grant (4yrs) Beaumont went missing from Glenelg Beach, Adelaide, in what appeared to be an abduction/murder. Their bodies have still not been found. On a lighter note, the disappearance of Harold Holt gave rise to a part of a phrase. The phrase that used to be "Doing the bolt" (meaning "to run away" or "disappear") was given the rhyming slang treatment with "Doing the Harold Holt"!

That, in my opinion, is what makes his disappearance a murder by close family member(s). A few of these disappearances seriously sound like murder to be truthful. Usually, the most simple and logical explanation is the correct explanation. Magical clouds, mist, and the like are not representative of objective reality, and therefore should be placed at the bottom of the list of potential causes.

One book where the story of Owen Parfitt can be found is called, Time Travel: A How-To User's Guide, written in 1999 by Commander X with Tim Swartz. The book tells that sometimes when people disappear and are never found again, it's because of spontaneous time travel. We can only *hope*, right? At least they're still alive somewhere/somewhen. In the case of Owen Parfitt, though, he's already dead for real.

#16, you said "nearly 30 years later" and math says nearly 40 (38) sorry to be picky person but it caught my attention. the not knowing is the worse part of any of these stories. there are times you don't want to know but when it comes to a missing person, even if they are dead, it would be better to know.

Hi, Mike. There's a classic Twilight Zone episode "The Last Flight" (S1, E18) that must have been inspired by the disappearance of Alejandro Bello Silva. In the story, a WWI British pilot engaging with the enemy flies into a glowing white cloud and emerges into contemporary (1960s) airspace to land at a modern military airfield. I always thought it was Rod Serling's creative imagination.😮

5 of 9 kids vanishing in a fire? That's a hard one to pull off. Go in,, set a fire then abduct 5 of the 9 kids without the parents knowing or neighbors seeing? All the theories' I'm sure people came up with, I'm gonna add one (if somebody else hasn't already suggested it). The 5 ran away and being kids, thought setting the fire would make the world think they were dead. An adult would have had to help them disappear (maybe being abused). Or, I hope tis one is wrong,, the parents killed them and buried their bodies, used the fire as a cover up.
