#9 FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONS IT! Thank you, you are best. Its acutally later in the song where you can hear it a lot more obviously in the credits theme and Super Bell Hill. Infact, they share the main melody! I love how Nintendo and SEGA put such obscure references in music, such as this, and in Sonic Generation's Classic City Escape, Endless Mine and the Trial version of City Escape (it has no lyrics, and is referenced at the very end of the loop) Maybe you can do a video on that? Its an idea I'd love to see! Something that I haven't seen many other youtubers do... not one I actually think. ~Although Sonic might take a lot of them..~

Nathaniel, here's a fact for you: Mario Kart DS was the only Mario Kart with retro tracks being in the order of titles in the cups (The first track of a Retro GP cup is from MK1 for SNES, the second from MK64 for N64, the third is from MK:SC for GBA, and the fourth is from MK:DD for GC.), and the tracks that appeared in the Shell Cup were the very first tracks of their respective titles (except for Moo Moo Farm, which is the second track of the MK64 Mushroom Cup, whereas the actual first MK64 track was Luigi Raceway)

More fun facts: Mario Kart 7's Lightning Cup is the only Retro Cup without an N64 course, and the only iteration of it with more than one Special Cup track. Mario Kart Wii and 7 combined contain every DK course in the series. Mario Kart Wii contains 3 Mario Circuits from the Flower Cup, and none of them are in the Banana Cup. SNES Mario Circuit and GBA Bowser Castle always return with each other, and when they do, an SNES track is in the Lightning Cup. There are two types of Mario Kart games: Coins and SNES Rainbow Road, and Fake Item Boxes and a block tower battle course. SNES Mario Circuit 4 is the only circuit track from the first 4 games to not return. Meanwhile, no circuits from the following games have returned. Mario Kart Wii has Dry Dry Ruins and Thwomp Desert, while 8 has Thwomp Ruins and Dry Dry Desert. In DKR, bananas are found along the course and oil slicks are items. I think that there were faster lap times in Mario kart games via glitching. For example grumble volcano had people do 4 second laps because of the rock shortcut. If you were going for non glitched laps, then try to look at baby park in MKDD.
