I loved my Spectrum 48k +. Have such fond memories of it and still have it to this day

I remember Renegade, Robocop and Chase HQ being great. Multi player football manager was my football manager game playing with friends.

Totally agree with the list, noticed the majority were single load, pre license era.

For me Elite is the top one. On the 128K toastrack with the better sound.

Football Director. I actually threw my spectrum at the wall after one particular loss in that game. What a game though. I played it again on an emulator a decade back. The mechanic where-by the difficulty went up when you did well just seems spiteful. If I want to play on easy, let me play on easy. Matchday 2 also stole days of my life.

Lords of Midnight after SabreWulf in this list in case anyone wondering. More football games in this list than I would expect

for me, most time spent in games would've been: Elite > Jetset Willy > Scuba Dive > Jetpac > Manic Miner > Psst. All the other games I owned saw less play than these ones.

Jet set willy just infuriated me, way too hard. I enjoyed Manic Miner much more.

@@gedbyrne8482 yea that surprised me too. A few folks mentioned it was their go-to game. Although someone admitted it was an underrated later game.

Thankfully everyone avoided the crap that was Knight Lore and all the other technology over gameplay rubbish 😂
