Life evolved into what it is today under these conditions, which is why people make the mistake that all these factors are so fine tuned to us. We are fine tuned to it, and if things had been different we would be different as well; the universe is not fine tuned to us. These sorts of videos are very misleading to the uninformed.
@Bruffist8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clearing it up dude, these idiots really think the universe is fine tuned to us lol WE ARE FINE TUNED TO THE UNIVERSE
@7pastorb8 жыл бұрын
+Vee Flynn The belief that we would still exist under other conditions is an unknowable supposition. Life that exists today is "life as we know it". But since we do not know human life any other way we cannot say simply that " Oh we would be different if things were different" which of course we can only know this if we know humanoid life in other conditions.Likewise we would have found an abundance of life on other planets with very different conditions. But what do we see? A whole lot of nothing at all in terms of life on other planets.So a distinct argument can be made for the idea that life formed as a result of some fine tuning. It does not have to be one or the other, it very well could be both.
@7pastorb8 жыл бұрын
+Randomname Having a different opinion does not make people idiots. This is what is such an issue with people it seems now more than ever. Anyone who challenges your ideology is either stupid or small minded. Instead let us consider that we may very well be able to learn from one another. Arbitrarily calling people idiots is, in itself, fairly silly.
@srbond8 жыл бұрын
+Vee Flynn Exactly my thoughts!! we evolved under these conditions not viceversa!
@JSnyder33338 жыл бұрын
+Terncote these factors are fine tuned to us. Specifically carbon based life on earth. More specifically human beings. The exactness of the conditions proves that life is rare in the universe, perhaps unique, and earth was prepared for us. The absence of proof may not be the proof of absence; however neither can it be a straw man to hold up and worship until full knowledge is achieved.

I'm not a believer in religion, however, it does seem that everything was put together in just the right ways for life as we know it to exist and flourish. I definitely believe that there is other life in our seemingly endless universe. Is it life as we've come to understand it? Do we even understand everything that we believe? When you look at it objectively, everything is just conjecture.

#4 is somewhat misleading & over simplified. Only on certain occasions does the moon exactly cover the sun during a solar eclipse. For the most part, because of the varying degree of distance between the Earth & the moon (it isn't constant as this video suggests), the moon is only able to cover some of the sun during totality, and in other cases it over covers the sun.

I see how everything fits together on this planet, species and nature to make a fantastically balanced machine that needs no intervention.
