Steve Waugh is my 2nd favourite batsman all time (after Lara). Very gritty, tough, calculated and resilient. Bowlers may dominant him for a session and he would still go on to get a hundred! He never really gave away his wicket when Australia needed him to bat. He thought team before self ........and it showed in his success as a player.

Met him in Chennai , MRF pace foundation as a kid when I was 6 years old in 2001. Didn’t know/understand the kind of guy I was meeting .
