With the last one, I have a theory. Have you seen the beta sprites of the legendary beasts? These are actually dog like. And I think in a Pokemon generations special, they show the pokemon in the burned tower and the shapes of them look very similar to their beta designs. So how the theory goes is that their beta designs is what they used to look like. And when they got reborn, they became their current forms.. Though I'm not sure if that reborn thing was added as a reference to it's beta form (like how they say Vulpix was born with 3 tails and it's beta pre form has 3 tails) as I don't think they planned on us finding out. Who knows. If it was a reference to that, it's pretty clever.

what if the foster pokemons ability gives you a boost in your catch rate and boosts your rate in finding shinny's? it's less competitive (in singles) and more catch utility, with its best stats being speed, def and s.def it learns wish, thunder wave, yawn, encore, false swipe, pretty much every single move that makes catching mons that much easier. then it shines as a clifairy 2.0 in doubles.

About the magnezone, in one episode of the Galar anime, the scientist's magnemite ( Francis?), and other magnemites in the vicinity are affected by some kinda signal or waves, and they all come together, forcibly making every magnemite they can find to form a leviathan sized new evolution of magnemite, but Ash stopped it from happening, so maybe this pokédex entry was likely true!

My guess with the Scarlet and Violet fusions is that they are just that, fusions. We will be introduced to future forms of the remaining swords of justice and past forms for the legendary beasts, and they will fuse with Iron Leaves & Walking Wake respectively to form those fusions that are in the book.

The magnezone entry might be a weird way of saying that they couldn't artificially evolve a magneton into magnezone, since it only evolved (at the time) in specific locations (e.g. mt. coronet and chargestone cave).

Someone here in comments mentioned the spirit type being what chimecos evo could have been. Personally, I think the DeX entry sounds eerily close to the skull kids from zeldaOoT and zeldaMM. They play a little flute, don't speak much if at all, and they aren't inherently dangerous to the people who get lost in the woods or forests surrounding them

There was a reference in Pokémon Journeys to, if not a Magnezone evolution, a Magnemite evolution with more than three fusing together (being this Magneton). Hundreds of Magnetmite trying to fuse together to evolve into something else never seen before.

For the Hoenns: Foster sounds like it would be based on a vervet monkey, who have roles in "foster parent" conservation programs. Spirit sounds like it could be a Chimecho evolution or counterpart of some kind. Small Oni sounds like a Raijin reference (the god.) Some of the Grass-types sound like they could be evolutions/counterparts to each other.

Magnizone: Or, from a biology standpoint, maybe because the Magnemite line is one of the most artificial looking genus of pokemon, the "scientists" were under the mistaken assumption that it was an artificial pokemon like with Porygon they could force an evolution. Porygon Z: Realisticly, Porygon could be as malleable as Eevee and with the base assumption that Porygon Z isn't actually an evolution but a corruption caused by malware(because what can you really expect to be on something called "Dubious Disc"?) and Porygon is the only pokemon to naturally learn the moves Conversion/Conversion 2, it's likely that there could be as many different variations to Porygon as their are type combinations. But that's a LOT of work to make.

Neat, Magnezone is especially interesting beacuse... 1 this isn't the 1st time gamefreak has talked about something similar and 2... technically this could exist. Start with the latter, what are mega evolutions? Evolution beyond evolution, a semi 4th evolution for some like Charizard, Ampharos, or Sceptile, even if only temporary, which... probably because it's an over exertion of energy, even if certain Pokemon can handle it like Charizard vs Scizor that will literally start melting from said excess energy, thus while technically could count as a 4th evolution, is not possible of being permanent. Now in the former... Pikachu was actually planned to have a 4th member in its line, in the cut Pokemon Gorocuhu. Now it was in Kanto's cut data, not Johto, so maybe Pichu wouldn't exist if that did happen, but there is also a beta Pichu, so Pichu could've been planned all along. Also why I'd wished Raichu would get a mega or primal, make it Gorochu. That or now with regional variants, a dark or fighting type regional Raichu, or branching evolution for Pikachu, like Galarian Linoone having Obstagoon while Hoenn's Linoone still doesn't evolve.

Everlasting Summer sounds like it could be maractus. pure grass? check. warm regions? check. noisy in groups? check. petals on its head? check. also Small Oni could be an early rotom concept? seeing how rotom could also live in power outlets and has a horn-like thing on his head. Alternatively, it could also be early concept of electivire, seeing how elekid is clearly inspired by a charging plug. While the Scale pokemon could be tympole, due to aquatic nature... the tail smacking, the fact it only mentions 1 ball/bead on the head and the fact that it is called the Scale pokemon, make me concider a completely different pokemon. I present to you: Jangmo-o, the Scaly pokemon. Its sun dex entry states "It expresses its feelings by smacking its scales." Jangmo-o also would have the actual physical ability to use its tail to smack its head bead.

Spider Lily... could have become Illumise, or actually with how it imitates bugs, but isn't one and is pure grass, Lurantis. Both also being female only species, and interesting in the former because Volbeat is the male equivalent, while in the end Lurantis can be male or female, 50/50 chance... then there's also Tsareena from gen 7 that is pure grass type and female only. Lurantis makes more sense though because... well its whole gimmick is luring prey, it's in the name. Much like other comments I made, maybe it's possible they reworked this concept into multiple Pokemon over the years.

Okay, I have a interesting theory on Magnezones evolution. The thing is, what if, in the in-universe lore/logic, they aren't actually a third stage? Many dexes are pretty clear when stating that Magneton is actually really just three Magnemites held together by magnetism (they confirm that further in Mystery Dungeon), which means they're basically a cluster of the same Pokémon rather than an actual evolution. It's when they become Magnezone that they actually get to change form and be a new creature. Guided by this logic, it wouldn't be a stretch for the scientists to consider Magnezone a *second stage* Pokémon and check for the possibilities of evolving them further.

About Magnezone i think is a reading problem, because it is said that magneton evolves in a natural special electromagnetic field, the researchers tried to replicate it to forcefully evolve to magnezone, but they failed yo do it, there's no 4th evo or alter form
