The end of my 2024 had a lot of life changes and these things that I didnt do last year, I now do. Watching you again is a nice reminder that growth isn't linear, it's more like returning home. Thanks for being a constant through the seasons.

Great to see you back here, Sophie. Feel like it's been a while since I saw your comments - so welcome back, and likewise wishing you the best for the new seasons ahead in your life. There is light on the horizon, and it's a non-linear light.

I have a lot things todo this year. I am in fear and anxiety, not well prepared (maybe a bit), not fully healed. But I am in an age where I must Cross the Threshold and begin my journey. and I picked 2 fortune cookies with the same phrase:" the world needs people exactly like you ". that's a was my begin of 2025. lets see if I Thrive with these tips.

Thank you Jordan. Rumination can be a big issue as it can take up continuous cognitive effort and can set heavy social limitations, and it’s mostly invisible.

I love reading, but I also have severe ADHD. Reading is extremely hard work and if I have to read a page for the 4th time just to process what I am reading. Do you have any recommendations or wisdom to share? I opt for audio books, but it is also a hit and miss.

A question - do you consider doing shadow work a priority when you are still in freeze/dissociative states often? Or is it better to focus on somatic experiencing first? Shadow work is often very cognitive, which is hard to access/dysregulates you further when you are living in freeze. Great video overall!
@jordanthornton10 күн бұрын
Shadow Work includes somatic work if you focus on the somatic unconscious, or somatic shadow. This is what I teach in my course and community, but the majority of online shadow work remains intellectual I agree. Perhaps there has yet to be a deepening into this awareness on your side? Check out my Shadow Work Playlist here on YT - it's 5 hours of free material, mini-course and it covers this issue - should help.

Love the playfulness, clickbaity but not really, apt to the time of year, informative, and concise title. Really helpful to see and appreciate the things I am doing for myself, what I can improve on, and the things I'm not doing. The main area I'm lacking in is structure/discipline, generally, and specifically with my reading, notes, inner work. Thanks for another informative accessible video that's helped bring me clarity and motivation again 🙌🏼

Thank you for this. A question on the burning of incense, how about burning white sage or Palo Santo sticks as they are not a mixture of God knows what? I personally prefer essential oils but I do appreciate those two. My body feels calm after burning those while most incense sticks make me feel agitated in the body.

I generally support people after they've decided to start coming off these things, when they want to see what's possible with natural healing via psychological inquiry, but I'm not a clinician and I hesitate to give you advice in a KZbin comment. I hope you understand, and be well with whatever you choose.

Not to hijack this comment, but I took these meds for 16 years, I talk about it a lot on my channel. There may be some resources there that may help you consider them. My experience is different because I was sort of forced on as a child and remained on them until early adulthood, but perhaps the insights can be of value.
