@tp_defense, if India want to bring down the cost of AMCA fighter jets, it needs to consider exports. Not just for own arm forces. Unfortunately with such delays, they are far behind South Korea's KF-21 which will hit production in 2026 and Turkey's Kaan fighter that will be introduced in 2028. Both these 5th gen fighters will eye for international customers very soon. Also, the choice for engine for AMCA... GE F414.. GE only producing this engine for India.. for Tejas mk2 and AMCA... While South Korea and Turkey uses GE F110 which is also used in F-15EX...which means GE has more orders for F110 and will be willing to expand production capacity for any demand upside unlike for F414 where they limit thier production.
