Although it's not very authentic to use curry powder, fresh red chilli, carrot and lime in a chana masala, it looks really good! The recipe that our family use uses dried red chillies, garam masala (Indian spice mix), dhana jeera (coriander and cumin powder) and chilli powder (usually from the Indian shops because it's spicier than the ones in supermarkets). We fry the dried chillies and curry leaves with the oil and then add onion, garlic and ginger. Usually, we brown these rather than just soft as it has more flavour. We then add the dried spices (0.5 tsp turmeric, 1.5 tsp chilli, 1 tsp garam masala and dhana jeera) and fry until fragrant. Then add the tomato tin and simmer for a couple of minutes. Add the chick peas and spinach and cook with some water. Also, seasoning. Then, it's done.

I love watching your videos Niomi! You don't need to worry what kind of videos you're putting up as long as you're letting your lovely personality shine. I do love seeing your vlog style videos and think its great when you do a blog where you show your makeup in the morning and if you do any exercise then what you eat and then what you're doing (even if its not something super exciting). I'd also love to see you so a lookbook at some stage! maybe 'what to wear for work?' I live in melbourne so I really struggle with what to wear as the weather changes so much in one day. Maybe you could show us how to wear light coats and layers to look stylish and put together?! Thanks for being you and creating awesome content! much love, Amelia xx

In many Asian cultures (especially Chinese) hot/warm water is known to be good for your body, it is known as something good for your stomach. Drinking hot water over cold water is very important (even on a hot summer day), especially when someone doesnt feel well (stomach ache, flu, soar throat, etc) I'm really glad that you actually accept the 'concept' and not thinking its weird or even disgusting😊😊😄😄

I love how the universe works... On Sunday my brother was asking me when would I sign up for a meditation course that he did with vipassana... It's a 9 day course where you meditate for several ours a day and you do a vow of silence... so as you can see it's pretty hard core and I don't feel ready for it so I said I would search for a shorter meditation course so I can start with something that I feel more comfortable with et voila today watching your video it's exactly what you mention! Thank you Niomi! Also love love Yoga with Adriene :) whenever you feel like doing something more like a yoga workout Alo yoga videos and Cat Meffan are really great :D

Hey Naomi! Love your videos! Just thought I would share an eco-friendly tip for everyone. Shop at bulk food stores (such as BulkBarn in North America) and bring mason jars to fill up with things like chia seeds, rice or pasta. It decreases the amount of packaging you use, and is also very cost-effective!
