Was surprised when I compared 1000 xtp to xmr clutch components and found no difference in weights. Guess they just used the gears you swapped to get that lowend grunt. Going that route myself, never needed the relocate anyways.

Yeah, it's wild that they have the same high-range gearing too. Other than the reduction in the intermediate gears obviously

What do those weights do for the clutch? And where can u order it and should I only install it once I tune my 850?
@MudPuppyOffroad21 сағат бұрын
Those weights change How quickly it upshifts. Basically the 850 up shifts too fast so it never gets to its peak RPM. You can Google the part number and order it from a number of companies I used. Partzilla

Hows the new bike and the stalling after coming out of water been? I was hoping to get the new 850 this year but ive been watching your videos on this since you bought it and im starting to turn away... really dont want to spend that kind of money on something that can shut off while in the water
@MudPuppyOffroad2 күн бұрын
It has never shut off on me in the water. However, it frequently stalls after pulling out of the water and letting off the throttle

It might be a better idea to wait until 2026 after Can-Am sees these videos and fixes a few things. All it needs is a software update

Polaris and can am do that a lot. Same ecu and when you order it is a blank. You hook it up to buds and program it.

Can am is just dumping on the cc scale now they got a atv thats labeled a 700 but actually states is a 650. So its a tuned up 650?
@MudPuppyOffroad2 күн бұрын
They just need to name things more accurately

Im not sure at all but didnt canam have fast and slow keys? I wonder if its possible the ECU just knows that the key is coded 1k or 850?
@MudPuppyOffroad2 күн бұрын
The dealership can program any key to be a work key, a normal key or a sport key. Mine has the sport key
@FBWJX2 күн бұрын
@@MudPuppyOffroad Thats what im saying is it possible when you get a new machine that the new key is what changes the ecu from 850 to 1k? Because like you showed its the same part number it would be the easy to eliminate initial tuning if you bought a new ecu if keys could already do tune stuff, just change the tune through the key possibly.
@MudPuppyOffroad2 күн бұрын
@FBWJX no that's not how it works you have to reprogram the ECU.
@scottpaul3172 күн бұрын
Hasn't been done through the key for a few years. It's a button on the handlebars to switch from normal to sport or work modes

I was told there is something different with the cooling system. Either the size of rad, fan motor, or fan blade. Could be gossip, could be true.
@MudPuppyOffroad2 күн бұрын
The part numbers do not reflect a single difference in the coolant system
