Jill Scott was the original singer on the song but the record label wanted a bigger name... Eve, before she blew up, is the female rapper on the song.

That said, have you reviewed Biggie ft. Bone Thuggz and Harmony “Notorious Thugs” yet? I’ll keep an eye out for that one. P.S. hug your mom, daily… she raised you right. I remember the day they did this video. When they was in the Projects that project is Tompkins Projects in Brooklyn down the block from Marcy Projects where Jay Z is from. I was going to work and they said I can lay down on the ground too but I said nah I have to get to work. The streets where the band was at those Stores are no longer there., it's just one big apartment building. Gentrification took over that. And they had a City bus out there that had the Bronx on it??? I said what's that about this is Bed- Stuy Brooklyn. But I got a chance to meet Erykah Badu before I jetted off to work. You know I had to tell my co-workers what just happened.😎👍🏽✌🏽
