Well, no, VC is like minus $250K for me, meaning I wouldn't wear one if you gave me any less. AP's obviously so better in every nanodetail. The very screw, and, 😫😫😫, the bracelet, are just so uncopably bad on VC

Im not so sure it’s a runaway comparison. 🤷🏾‍♂️ plus this isn’t a fair apples to oranges comparison; instead he should compare the super thin RO perpetual -> 26586IP.OO.1240IP.01 Plus a heavy watch is a pain in the buttocks after a while. With that said, comparing these watches is a bit like comparing a Ferrari to a Lamborghini- it’s not anyone who can own can’t own both! Plus, at this price point it’s such a subjective, emotional buy. There’s no real mechanics or high horological gaps between the watches: Geneva seal and all. Does FP Journe have Geneve seal? And, does anyone question its quality? See, there you go. Still, the VC is 🔥 and the skeleton perpetual is even hotter !

Both are beautiful watches, but have a number of flaws. They use the same movement, which is comically undersized for the case. The VC's month indicator is a mess. The AP's week indicator is a lazy implementation, particularly as it blocks the beauty of the moonphase during 2 months of the year. My choice would be the previous generation 39mm AP perpetual calendar, as it's correctly sized and doesn't have the week indicator.

I'd prefer steel for this type if watch, time only. Perpetual is overkill. The other preference, the chrono VC is too large and the date window sticks out horribly on most dial colours.

The AP is a bruiser. The VC is more elegant. And I prefer it because it already looks sporty enough. And VC's blue dials are out of this world. Best blues in watches imo.

This is fantastic! Versus is back!!! Two of my favorite brands going head to head! I love that. I'm this case I'll take the VC easily. It's advantages just keep adding up, and it is simply a better looking watch then the Royal Oak in this case. Versus!!!

I’m not even close to being in the market of either of these. If I had an extra $100k+ burning a hole in my pocket, I would buy a car instead. That being said, I am not at all under the Gérald Genta spell, so I would take the VC by a mile. But I totally get that brand and history matter, so if that’s what you like, have at it.

I would like the VC better if it had a 3rd seconds track. I feel two is simply not enough. PS beryllium is rather toxic, strange JLC decided to go with that but I'm sure they had their reasons. I wouldn't want to work with that metal.

AP has become such a one model hype brand. Why not change the name to The Royal Oak? Yes it is a lovely watch but enough already with the limited editions they come up with every other week. It's sickening. Of course celebrities hype the watch even more and everyone runs after it like a dog in heat. Both VC and PP have their sports models but they still retain their heritage and they make a variety of models with awesome designs and complications. As far as this video is concerned, definitely the VC. Quiet Luxury

Both are stunning watches, but my choice would be definitely the Vacheron. In my opinion one of the most beautiful sporty perpetual calendar watches to exist. My only request would be 150m of water resistance and a screw down crown, then it would be perfect.

Some annual calendars have more parts than corresponding perpetual calendar designs. That's the case with Patek. However, the AC pieces themselves and their adjustment are less sophisticated and demanding to tune than those in the perpetual calendar drivetrain. So by component count, annuals can be considered more "complicated," but it's not true in a broader sense. Best, Tim

You can Google it, there is a whole Wikipedia article on The Holy Trinity, that is what everyone knows them as.
