What a beast. I grew up in Bloomington and delivered freight to the old GE plant there many times.

It's truly a shame to see these United states-based companies close the doors up and move overseas, The man selling the equipment that owned the building told me that back in the day General Electric owned quite a bit of Real Estate and employed over 2,000 people in that small town, apparently many many strikes lead General Electric two move this part of their operations overseas what a shame

+ROTARYCOMPTECH Yeah the GE plant was booming for years, but started a slow decline in the late 90's and by 2004-06 when I was delivering there, they only employed a couple hundred people and there wasn't much going on. Finally closed it in 2010. They just closed the Mitsubishi plant recently, too. Bloomington's blue collar jobs are leaving quickly.

bigchevy80 it's really a shame what's going on in this country in the last 15 to 20 years, hopefully with a businessman in office this country will slowly turn back to what it used to be That's just my opinion

It's old with a obsolete controller
@rotarycomptech8 жыл бұрын
You are definitely correct about that, it's definitely the first version of the supervisor controller. as you can see it still is functioning, even if it needs to be upgraded to the supervisor two Deluxe or the latest and greatest sullair supervisor controller for what the end-user paid for the machine it was well worth it
@jonmikel59258 жыл бұрын
Yes it be replaced with Supervisor2 I have done that , it's going through the controls @ spiral valve then you would have a tough running unit. I worked on Compressor since 1974 all kinds an one thing stands true they pump air It's how they do it you need to know.

+Jon Mikel I got a couple years under my belt myself I started in the field in 1984 out of high school I'm now 52 speaking of controls and sullair compressors the latest and greatest machines have resolved most of the old issues in respect to the copper plated steel lines galvanized pipe fittings and the old carbon steel Parker compression fittings, as you probably know a lot of the control issues with these compressors of this vintage are those Plumbing components . especially in areas of the country with high humidity levels, once the compressor has been converted over to stainless steel and brass fittings those issues for the most part go away and the Machine becomes quite reliable, I'm not a very big fan of the latest and greatest supervisor controller like yourself I have converted a couple of these machines with this old style supervisor controller of the first vintage to the supervisor 2 Deluxe Edition which I believe was the best controller Sullair ever put out thanks a lot for your comment Jon!
