this will be helpful in creating grating trench, but corners can you make videos on how to model corners 90,45, angle , T, Cross etc

Hmm, this can be tricky, can we have a face based void with an angular parameter to cut it? I guess it won’t work on the array, maybe need to nest the array?

@@BINHE615 voids can be used. But it's difficult to update when opening locations change frequently (during design face).

Happy new year... Thanks a lot...for considering my request. We use floor normally. Some cases we may be asked to show it as realistic as it is possible. I made one family of similar sort (using array option). It will be heavy and not so flexible in few ways. We cant have that as one single family of L, T, + shaped grating (in plan). I can make use of the rectangular grating family made by me and make a new nested family of needed shapes (L T +). But it's a herculean task. Also, it don't allow us to make openings quickly as needed (since it is a nested family). We will end up in spending lot of time for making cutouts on the grating. Thanks again and continue supporting the community. I learned a lot from your videos.

Can you just use a single family with angle parameter on both ends for all situations instead of creating separate families for those three shapes. Eg. you can use 2 45degree to create a L shape, 2 90degree to create a T shape, 3 90 degree to create a +. If you really need to create those shapes with nested families, you can still have the void in the host family so it can create the opening.
