Lizleigh Hamilton , hi. I'm from Australia. I think it's important that you find the right church. What is the right Church though. Take '1 John 1:7' and you will see that the most important aspect is fellowship. It is also important that you test that your church is biblically based and God centred not the preacher centred. I find so often that most aspects of small local churches are quite uninspiring however when you least expect it, God touches you through the Holy Spirit. It is important that we submit to imperfect authority. We have so much to offer the church through our fellowship. Just jump right in.....the waters fine.

When he talks about the guys hiding behind the bushes jokingly, Jesus was referring to Highwaymen, Thieves and Robbers, etc. I.e. the invitation was not just the poor, lame and blind...but he opened the invitation to the banquet to sinners that will come as well so that he could fill his banquet hall.

The Sabbath day was blessed and sanctified by the Creator at the end of creation according to the Bible. Read Genesis 2: 1_ 3. So the Sabbath is the right day to worship. It does matter . Read Exodus 20: 8 _ 11. Appreciate the msg.

My take is that many parts of the old testament rule book are contextual. Don't harvest from the edge of your field so the poor have something to eat. Don't eat pork because no one knows how to cook properly and pork has parasites in it when not cooked properly. Similarly, don't work on the Sabbath is a commandment made so that people would not be overworked and would also have a day to worship. For me personally the day itself is irrelevant. The point is rest from work and worship god. Then again however, as Paul says if people do different things according to their conscience then they do it to glorify God and so for each their own. So I feel how I feel and you feel how you feel and as long as we both do it for a good reason all is good

Most churches in the UK are very dull and uninspiring. And the leaders are weak and almost ashamed of their faith. Wish I could find a church with confident preachers who had a positive message and actually held to the Bible's teachings instead of apologising for them and watering them down.

God is not the earth, the earth is His creation. We need not worship the earth, but God our Creator. We should care for the earth because God gave humans dominion over the earth. However, since this world is fallen, everything is in sin. Since we are sinners, we cannot take care of others, God, ourselves, let alone the planet. Until we are under Jesus' kingdom, until we are saved and born again, we cannot fully step into that love. And even still, not as fully until we are with Jesus in paradise

Some speculate October, September, etc. But its the day that we celebrate God that matters.
