These recordings are from live Satsangs at Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Centre in Melbourne, Australia. All spontaneous quotes are from this Satsang, (compiled by Dr. Vidya Narasimhan).
Satsang is a Sanskrit term derived from two roots: sat meaning "true’" and sangha meaning community, company, or association. It can be translated as "associating with good people" or simply "being in the company of truth," and refers to the act of gathering with Sattvic-minded, uplifting beings, especially spiritual seekers.
Satsang is different from any course or lecture because the energy field in it allows for clarity, stillness, and expanded awareness to be experienced by those who seek it.
Whenever something increases your awareness of the Truth, it opens your Heart and quiets your mind.
Satsang is one of the most effective means of transcending your mind and staying in the egoless state which can be called enlightenment, liberation, freedom, moksha, nirvana or simply abiding in Self.
We call our Satsang lovingly as Bhagavan Satsang as they are all due to his grace, Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.
According to Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi Satsang means only Atma Sang(Association with Self). Those who are trying to be in Self can come in the company of realized beings/Sadhus/Saints/Sages and that is also Satsang. Those who come in the company of Jivanmuktas also become Jivanmuktas.
Bhagavan explained the importance of Satsang by quoting Tayumanuvar, Suta Samhita, and Kaivalya Navanitam.
Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi is widely thought of as one of the most outstanding Indian spiritual teachers of recent times. Having attained enlightenment at the age of 16, he was drawn to the holy mountain of Arunachala in southern India and remained there for the rest of his life. Arunachala mountain itself is considered to be self-manifested Lingam, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Just by looking at it with reverence liberation will happen.
Attracted by his stillness, quietness, and teachings, thousands sought his guidance on issues ranging from the nature of God to daily life.
The philosophy of Advaita or Non-Duality has become, along with Buddhism, one of the most popular spiritual paths being pursued by those interested in enlightenment today. During the past three decades, Advaita has become more widely recognized in the West through the ever-growing popularity of Ramana Maharshi. His point of view has for its aim Self-realization. The central path taught in this philosophy is the inquiry into the nature of Self, the content of the notional 'I-thought'. Carl Jung wrote of Ramana: “Sri Ramana is a true son of the Indian earth. He is genuine and, in addition to that, something quite phenomenal. In India, he is the whitest spot in a white space. What we find in the life and teachings of Sri Ramana is the purest of India; with its breath of world-liberated and liberating humanity, it is a chant of millenniums.”
Om Peace Peace Peace.

i think we can all relate to these talks. how cunning the mind is ....thanktyou from eng uk. I agree totally with what the speaker says,.. so many groups of SRM teachings make it sooooo complex and talk as if it is soooooo difficult. this will not help you. It just creates more illusions in the mind. Bhagwans message is very pure, the most direct and simple. These satsangs are more true to Bhagwans teachings. The speaker obviously has experience of what he speaks of and it is not just intellectual knowledge as many out there are stuck in but portray like they know what they are talking about.

This for me is the mother of your vids. In the Bible it also says that you can't serve two masters. So a decision has to be made. Isn't it a huge sin to know things always better than God, by doing and doing and doing! I'm glad I found your community, cos this doing everywhere I'm totally fed up with. It makes one feel tired, doesn't it. Thank you ❤🙏from Eastern 🇫🇷. And I love awareness and I thank you and of course Bagawan and all that have contributed to awareness in this place. I listen to Satsang every day.

Thank you for the Satsang offerings. In reference to comment about (could or could not be in this one) woman finding peace in the garden. God meet us where we are to give us the silence … we don’t have to do anything… this gift to sense God in the garden is the taste of the awesome never ending Self. This garden can be found in the heart … no more is it necessary to physically go into the garden … that taste … memory is now in the heart garden. The garden of Self where everything always lives through space time all. 🙏🏼

To whom has this world in the form of a thought appeared? To me. Who AM I? Who gave me this body? I did! Who gave me this mind? I did! Who gave me these thoughts? I did. Who is this I? Where did this I come from? What is the source of this I? Who AM I? Who AM I? I AM that I AM.

Ah, so it was for that, rumi uttered, "silence is the language of God , everything else is a poor translation" It seems it's just the matter of getting use to it , after decades of living in noise and fury of mind, but as I have heard one awakened one saying, it's only the matter of tasting it once, because once you taste it, this taste will follow you and it will get easier and easier to taste it over and over again. .

Why are we in body-minds if these are only mistakes to be overcome? Is it without value, to be transcended as opposed to perfected? Does analyzing the body-mind make us more aware of ourself, less muddled, less led by the unconscious? The method of atma vichara is deceptively simple, and I think the question of spiritual bypassing is important. The psychological or life struggles seem to be without value in this way of spirituality, e.g., it's all mind = meaningless, to be thrown away. Our entire human life is thus thrown in garbage. We are not the body or mind, so ignore it all. Not sure how this works out for the vast majority of people. It's as if we remove one of the two pieces of the cross, and are left with just the vertical. Isn't that too simplistic? For someone, like Ramana, who got it the first time, completely and did not go back, great. But, the mass of humanity does not. Are we throwing out the baby with the bathwater?

The ego does not exist . It is an illusory concept . The so called mind ,is not an address . It is also illusory. The body is a mental projection of the illusory mind . So how can any thing that is thought of have any basis at all .

Sir kindly describe what is Brahman. The atman is too pure . It cannot speak . It cannot hear . It cannot see ,it is not a witness to all this life. It has nothing do do with what you think or don't think. It holds on to nothing . So if the atman is totally free of everything. How do you believe in everything that has been known or is in the knowing. The atman IS NOT THE KNOWER ,THE KNOWN OR THE KNOWING .
