Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) joins Miguel Martinez-Saenz, Ph.D., president of St. Francis College, in conversation about Rep. Jeffries' early years in Brooklyn, his educational and professional journey and his motivations for pursuing elected public office.
Rep. Jeffries is serving his fifth term representing New York's 8th District - which includes parts of Brooklyn and Queens - in the United States Congress.
Thomas J. Volpe, chairman emeritus of the St. Francis College Board of Trustees, established his namesake annual lecture series 25 years ago, to expose students to world-renowned leaders from politics, literature, journalism and entertainment.
