Diesel Bug is much more common nowadays, likely the reason for Mustang stuttering. I treat al my Red with biocide and always have spare fuel filters. Worst issue is the brass gauze pick up in Gator fuel tank. (JD don't even show the pick up in Workshop manual) I am now an expert at getting to it and cleaning the snot away. Tip - Keep fuel tanks full daily. Nice to see your mate Richard put a lean to onto that container for his Van, seem to remember suggesting that yonks ago. 😹😹😹

It's commonly known as a mackerel sky and is usually a sign of settled weather, I'll see it over me a few times a year and it looks amazing at sunrise.

I wonder if there is something in the fuel tank that's drifting in the fuel and getting drawn to the stack pipe inside the tank, when the machine cuts out the suction drops off and what ever it is let's go and falls back into the bottom of the tank. (Just a thought as I had this type of problem with a coach that someone had dropped a bit of paper into the fuel tank!)

If it was me, I would have a close look inside the skid steer's fuel tank. Maybe drain it and borrow an enderscope to look for something that shouldn't be there like a piece of cloth or plastic that can move around and sometimes block the outlet. it would explain why it only happens sometimes and clears as soon as the suction has gone. That happened to me once years ago with a piece of cloth in my (2nd hand) car fuel tank.

When you get out your skid steer what does the two switches do might be a wearied question but just wondered

One is the hand brake, the other is the hydraulic lock. If you exit the machine running you have to switch them, if you don't the engine will stop and lock them anyway.

We couldn't afford the proper stuff when I was growing up, so its always been instant Steve. I find proper coffee too strong and bitter now, so stick to a milky Dow Egberts 🙂👍

Hi Ian, You should buy spare filters so you can quickly change them with making Another trip to the spares shop, or is there an alternative motive for going again. Tables look great and even better with some QL cider flagons weighing them down. When famous Dave comes visiting you again, have some slabs ready for him to finish the patio as the missing ones make it all look a bit shabby. Just a thought. @@TheByardI would love to finish the patio slab area off, unfortunately we ran out of funds, the Indian slabs are pretty, but pricey. Other projects like the yard roof and Mrs Ps kitchen took priority.
