Years has passed since I got graduated from music school, for many reasons I didn't have much chance for keep studying jazz and listening back to this performances gives me the inspirtation needed to go back to practice and sooner or later I know I'll be able to play this tunes and solo as you guys did here, love this whole presentation with kurt, every time I hear it its just amazing! Sorry I can't help it this little pun: As long as Kurt is using pedal effects to get his magic flutelike tone with his guitar, it "counts" as straight ahead jazz... but, if it were Chick or Herbie with a keytar getting a similar sound, or even Kurt himself with a Roland or so guitar synth... they would automatically be dismissed by some snob "purist" criticians as fusion crap or something... am I getting it right? 😮🤦🏽‍♂😅🤣🙏

He's actually not, he's running it through a pedal called a POG that cuts off the attack. A lot of people make fun of his sound for it or just say it downright sounds bad... Kurt should do whatever he wants I think
