8:39 These are called Rotary Rasp File Bits. They are used for de-burring, shaping and grooving. De-burring; as in after you have drilled a hole in metal use these bits to smooth over the edges of the hole and remove burrs.

For the first one, to clean up the threaded bar, I used to just screw on a nut past where I was cutting then wind it flush up to the cut, quick file to take off the "stub of thread". Then when you take off the nut it deburrs it

Good idea until you’re cutting 3m lengths into 1m rods, you’d spend half the day spinning nuts on

The burr bits at 8:39 are very usefull, but need to spin rather quickly, otherwise they grab and catch.

Made for a die grinder those are the wooden burs if you do decide to buy them the the carbide ones they cost a little more but you can use them for metal as well they stay sharp for a long time u port and polish automobile heads with them to make more horse power.

If you screw the nut on before you cut the bolt the but clears the end threads and you don't need an extra tool.
