Humour par excellence. As a Zimbabwean listening in from Zimbabwe, I couldn't agree with the comment on our need to factor in laughter as we navigate this movie called life. The heart of the humour giving over the 'durawall' vibes reminded me of days, which Covid now makes seem like decades ago, where we used to queue for bread, fuel and gas; all in one day. I think it calls for a run down of some crises that Zimbabweans have gone through and gotten to the other side of; lest we forget our staying power. Talk about Mwari weZimbabwe because we are cats with literally nine lives😂 Loved the merge of personalities, Ms Nyasha held her own. Blessings to you and yours BFFs.😊

Being here in the Diaspora you lowkey lose your identity and your self esteem. I finally embraced my pro Zimbabwean side. I wanna just say that it took 4 years for me to see how that target audience excels your portfolio. Thank you so much for this episode. I hope them young ones don't learn from personal failures rather taking experience from these iconic Zimbabweans doing it lit in the diaspora. Awesome episode guys 🔥🔥🔥

Matopos Gin doesn’t seem to ship to the US, yet…we will patiently wait 😎
1:23:29 she wasn’t ignorant… she was being sarcastic on purpose. But B&F is correct about our pride…the video was not meant for us. It was purposefully snide because it was meant for those racist Americans who always say to Black Americans “go back to Afrika” and the statement she mumbled “they ain’t got nothin’” (right before she stated “l just like demystifying shiii”) The angry people missed all of the nuance.

@lekis59753 ай бұрын
Kenyans will tell you they have the best education system. That said, these competitiins mean nothing, because when all is said and done, what passes for education, is not, its brain washing. It's one thing to be EDUCATED, its quite another thing to be ENLIGHTENED. Enlightenment ocvurs when one uses education to acquire knowledge independently, outside of the classroom. The kind of kniwledge that edifies the mind, sufficient for the individual to use that knowledge to uplift mankind. Malcolm X dropped out of school aged 16, however his mother always encouraged them to read vociferously. Whilst in prison he began to read widely, it's almost as if he crafted his own curriculum covering language, history, philosophy, geography, architecture, spirituality. When he was released, he was fired up and ready to serve his people, to lay down his life even. Now THAT is proper education. Thus other staff trains people to learn by rote, and to be servants, it doesnt teach people to be thinkers, innovators and revolutionaries.

I love your take on the Tiffany situation. Granted she's controversial, however some African Americans started hating on her seriously the moment she revealed she's part African. I don't think the video was remotely controversial. Fact is, 52% of Americans don't even own passports, they've never been out of the country. And those who travel are more likely to go to the Caribbean, Latin America or Europe, subsequently they don't know much about Africa. Tiffany isn't the first person to do a supermarket comparison video. As a Kenyan living in the UK, I was quite chuffed to see the supermarket shelves were heaving with food, more so considering what the West put Zimbabwe through in the last 23 years, ranging from illegal economic sanctions, expulsion from the International money markets, and all the anti- Mugabe propaganda. Mugabe may have had his shortcomings, but he was right to demand back the land. The West then decided to make an example of Zimbabwe,much in the way they made an example of Haiti, when they got independence. Those who know, know. Tiffany's video was much needed.
