My friend bought me that same exact challah cover! ❤ I’m new to learning about Holy days and Shabbat-very new! But I was talking to her about it and kind of jokingly said I’m going to start making challah bread on Friday nights. (I love baking bread) Well…this was one thing I received for my birthday and it’s beautiful! 😍🥰

We celebrated our first Yom Teruah! It was very simple and with your help (thank you!) it turned out lovely! We had communion and a nice simple dinner with prayers and some Bible readings. Looking forward to celebrating more biblically holy days! Appreciate you!!!

I love the idea of learning something new together in regard to the holy days! ❤ Also appreciate the reminder of how there are still other celebrations coming up in fall. 🍂 🍁 🍂 We too had steak! (And we had apples and honey yogurt 😊🍯 🍎) I had some pomegranate juice but it's a stronger flavor than expected! And Mac & cheese! 😅 We made a bunch of noise at sunset and I'm not sure we were doing that "right" but it was a fun way to praise the Lord!

😂,😂😂 Love this video and I had to laugh at the Google timer going off during the prayer. That has happened here as well and my girls happily call it interrupter Google 😂 Thank you for sharing your family's celebration. We are new to the feasts and are never sure exactly how others celebrate. We pf course look to the Word but sometimes it's fun to see how others celebrate Yahweh during these special days. Thank you for sharing!

I was quite disappointed with the response I got from church just because hubby and I celebrated Yom Teruah. Sad to say they were not enthusiastic and we got a bit of a lecture about it being old covenant blah, blah, blah! Anyway it won’t deter us, we celebrate because we want to. We don,t need to so I was quite annoyed that they were so patronising towards us about it all. I’ll say nothing about their Christmas trees going up this year of course because it’s not my business

I am with you. Some people I've told are excited for us but few are interested for themselves and a couple have been somewhat hostile like you are experiencing. Keep focusing on what God tells you and what God wants you to do!

But as Christians We are called to sharpen one another and to judge one another actually more harshly them are to judge non-believers. The Bible says not to judge in a way that is hypocritical. So for sure checking your own heart first which is what Heidi kind of mentions here actually. But if you are helping sharpen another Christian in a way that is valid because you are doing well handling that yourself; Then I think that is more helpful than just minding your own business. After all the church should be your business. Do I think that Christmas trees trees are a big deal? Not necessarily... So if you're simply going off of picking your own battles then that's fair. I will possibly still be getting a tree to put inside for the scent. The funny thing is that December 25th was a day taken by the Catholic Church to cover up the holiday for the sun god as well as to cover up their persecution of Christians. Jesus was most likely born during sukkot. There are scholarly arguments for this due to the Jewish traditions that were happening at that time mentioned in the Bible; and related to his cousin John being born, as well as how it makes more sense that Bethlehem was crowded due to that celebration versus being crowded because of tax season. The fact that the sacrificial sheep were out to pasture with the shepherds doesn't make sense in the dead of winter they were more cared for than other sheep were... So that also makes more sense that that would have happened during Tishri (late Sept/early Oct). ❤ I also think it's kind of fun to think about that That would mean Mary likely conceived Jesus right around (our Western) New Year's. Although that is in no way Biblical- God has a way of adding to the word in such patterns I think. I also suggest considering a Messianic Synagogue if you feel inclined to. I found one suprisingly close to me, even in California...and they are very welcoming to Christians! 🐟

@momontheprairie She just really enjoys coming to our channel here and driving up our engagement stats with her "encouraging and uplifting comments." We appreciate her dedication and cover her in prayer as she listens through these videos. We remember to stay focused and not brought down by the negative as she sprinkles these around our channel. 😊

@@HeavenlyMindedHome I had to go read the whole chapter after seeing that comment. I figured it was quoted out of context and it most certainly was! @@momontheprairie I quoted a statement made directly from the LORD GOD Himself on the matter of man’s futile, meaningless traditions (that they have the audacity to tout as something that is “honorable” in His sight). How can it be honoring or glorifying Him if He has blatantly expressed His supreme disdain for it in His Word? You all act like it’s me that you hate, but I know it’s really God that you abhor. Tell me, who commanded these feasts you proclaim in the name of the LORD? According to Leviticus, Moses did. “And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.” Ch 23 verse 44 Thus it is said to you, “Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, in whom you have put your hope.” Jn 5:45

You’re right, Jesus didn’t come to create a new religion, He came standing against religion in all of its man-made forms (including Judaism). The Jews crucified Jesus and yet you take some sort of sick joy in being a “grafted in Jew”…. Odd.
